God is Fully Occupied with You

The great Sufi saint Shamz Tabriz wrote, “God is fully occupied with you”. If so, why do we often find ourselves alone and dejected? In this video, Tosha points out a few major blocks one could have to accessing divine help - the shame that we bear towards our human flaws, our unwillingness to truly surrender, and our lack of receptivity. She then moves towards the kernel of the discussion - could it be that tenderness towards ourselves is the missing link in our pursuit of the Divine?

‘Whatever is your wish, lead the way’. Coming out of the control zone and allowing something much much higher to lead the way. The reason why we struggle to surrender is because we want to control. The ego wants to do what it wants to do not allowing the divine to intervene. Sometimes it’s because we want life to look a certain way or are afraid of society judgements. Shame and control = no divine assistance
