So helpful! I've really been struggling trying to figure out where to place my stop loss. As a new trader, I want to be conservative but still give enough room to let it play out. Now that you point this out, it makes so much sense that one of the factors I should consider is the overall volatility of the pair.

That’s why it’s situational, so it’s good to look back at more price action to get an overall average. But then again, if you’re trading within a range, then your SL maybe different than in a volatile trend, so depends.
