UPDATE: I forgot that the lowercase letter b hasn't been found. so at the end when I was talking about the letters "k & v", there's still a b that hasn't been found, meaning that we have EXACTLY enough letters to fill out the alphabet and we aren't missing anything. I suspect that the "Master's Emblem" is a b because of the image I shared at the end of the "Gra* Note". The only word I can imagine fitting is "Grab Note" UPDATE 2: I forgot about another symbol that wasn't showcased in this video at all.. When you showed the translated tablet, it kind looked like a chunk of code used in actual coding. I know you mentioned there are references to computers and programming in the KH series. Maybe this is one of them? Can any programmers verify?

@@sillysphinx2330 I'm a programmer and it's definitely not code, but it does remind me of Base 64 encoding. It's not that (i already tried) but it might be some other kind of basic encoding or simple encryption (assuming it actually means something).
I speak Japanese! The shika shika thing is actually a different style of romanization. Si is how shi is romanized in older systems like Nihonshiki and Kunreisiki -notice how in kunreisiki, shi is written as si. It’s also the first form of romaji that kids are introduced to in school, and the most common way Japanese people type Japanese on a keyboard. Typing si will get し or シ, depending on which script you’re trying to type. So, yes, those letters on the poster most likely say “shika shika” in katakana, but are romanized using an older system. Also, in Quadratum, there’s a sign that says 消火栓 but in Scala letters. It’s the red lollipop looking thing with 3 Scala letters on it. It translates to fire hydrant ^_^ Very fascinating video!! Great sleuthing ^_^ I’ve been working on translating it with a tumblr mutual who actually sent me a link to this video. I’ll check out the discord!

Which is why hiding the word "the" is essential for any (English) cypher (and quite a few non-English ones), since it tends to have a lot of fundamental letters, meaning once it's known, it opens up so many other translations.
@@ZeranZeran It's like Wheel of Fortune: R, S, T, L, N, E they give people for free because of how common those letters are in the language. The is used so much in English, and it contains T and E, both common letters, as well as H, a pretty common blend letter (th, sh, ch, wh, among others). The second task in breaking an English cipher is getting all the vowels. Once you have those, you can snowball the rest a lot easier.

Pretty sure the placard is Korean with a cipher for X, theres a few visually noticeable things like something that looks like Larxene and Marluxia. additionally the first line seems like a poster stating in cipher something to do with a 28 year old or a timespan of 28 years and some Korean esque parts I swear one part in the beginning says " Once ____ gibberish Great City, where is it now." or something to that effect when translated from broken possible Korean to english.

I did translation work on the KH3 scala, i think i was the first to post the numbers on KH13. I ended up concluding that the rest was likely a japanese substitution cypher, as many of the boards didnt make sense as an english cypher. After watching your video though, i think it may be both. The characters might represent both english and japanese characters, switching between the two languages sporatically, or kh3 might have japanese and missing link might have english.

I've never played Missing Link, but I felt this entire video. These are all of the joys and frustrations we have in Final Fantasy 14 trying to translate stuff. Protip if you do play FFXIV: There is more than Eorzean for you to decipher. However, it does come with all of the frustrations shown here.(and then some!)

have you tried getting someone into cryptanalysis to have a look at this? if it really is just a different alphabet for english text, with enough text available, it should be possible to decrypt stuff based on a statistical analysis of how frequently each symbol appears and which symbols tend to come together.
The "Sika Sika" thing is likely more just of a quirk of romanization. The character し (shi) can be romanized either way technically, due to the pronunciation being somewhere kind of in between.
The "void" is simular to the "The Daisy Of Death". Kinda similar to the "The Flower of Life". I wonder if the dandelions was just by random name but then there marluxia.maybe we see more flower elements to astrology elements???

Yeah that’s a completely different script, I’m unsure that anyone has really tried in a while to decode that. The Scala Survivors (formerly Cracking the Scala Code) have reached out to me and they’re trying to crack the tablet as we speak. They’ve made some interesting breakthroughs it seems 😱
My guess is the master's symbol is K and in the clip you showed it was at the end of what could be the word "book" and the rest of the Scala text could be prophecy. Maybe look at Greek text since final fantasy has used it before and maybe it would help to demystify. χ they love using chi lol also loved how u tried it with the falcie and that still to this nobody gets that it's basically the word Fallacy meaning a lie

That 5th line of the tablet seems to start with Xemnas/Xehanort smth smth. So its probably a anagram of the events that are recorded on said tablet, only that the letters are jumbled up. Pretty sure you alr know this but the back panels show a small picture story when they are first turned around when you are required to line up the lights to solve its initial puzzle while collecting kairi's heart pieces. So this final panel is probably a telling of the shown events but in Scala text form. And speaking of Zodiacs, look at the foretellers, literally all animals that could be linked to zodiac stuff. Maybe Twilight town mansion has some clues from our Unicorn boy for the symbols?? but thats longshot territory, just my 2 cents here idk.
The fact that Keyblade wielders are tied to this language, and it shows up in both Twilight Town and Radiant Garden makes me think they had an involvement to some degree in tampering with said worlds. Maybe not the foretellers, but we know subject x appeared in RG, maybe the old text was extracted by Ansem the Wise and since he’s tied to the mansion he carried it over? 🤔def something to think about It’s also safe to assume both Yen Sid and Merlin know the script as well so they could be partially to blame

Pretty sure you alr know this but the back panels show a small picture story when they are first turned around when you are required to line up the lights to solve its initial puzzle while collecting kairi's heart pieces. So this final panel is probably a telling of the shown events but in Scala text form. And speaking of Zodiacs, look at the foretellers, literally all animals that could be linked to zodiac stuff. Maybe Twilight town mansion has some clues from our Unicorn boy for the symbols?? but thats longshot territory, just my 2 cents here idk.
The fact that Keyblade wielders are tied to this language, and it shows up in both Twilight Town and Radiant Garden makes me think they had an involvement to some degree in tampering with said worlds. Maybe not the foretellers, but we know subject x appeared in RG, maybe the old text was extracted by Ansem the Wise and since he’s tied to the mansion he carried it over? 🤔def something to think about
It’s also safe to assume both Yen Sid and Merlin know the script as well so they could be partially to blame
