I always thought the breakdown at the end of the song (3:42) sounded like a saw mill gone wild. I was wrong, it sounds like a dozen of saw mills gone wild. That must be one of the, if not the, best breakdowns ever!
I saw Gojira for the first time when they opened for Metallica October 2009. They fucking killed that night. So fucking awesome at one point I could not breath.
Well keep in mind, they’re in their 40s now so it’s hard to keep the same youthful energy. I personally think that they’re still very impressive, especially considering their age
I saw them live back in 06 i think it was? whew it was a while back. it was Sacrament tour with Trivium, Lamb of God, Gojira, and Machine head. Gojira was brutal. the riffs make u feel primal. absolutely primal.

Saw them and In Flames in Austin a couple years back. This was by far the best song of the show. Pit changed from 30-50 people to the whole damn audience.
Holy shit, I can't wait til they play at Parkenfestivalen in Bodø, Norway in august. They are going to blow the brains out of A LOT of people. Gojira are KINGS!
@kaylor666 To be precise, the first US tour they did in 2009 was in May with Chariot and Car Bomb as openers. They came back in September to support Metallica and actually do some headlining shows in between. ;)
@DjoZef Dammit!! I figured they would have but I wasn't sure. The first and only time I saw them was opening for Lamb of God in Philadelphia in '07. I guess then they were supporting From Mars To Sirius?? I figured they were always just an opening band because they weren't too big in the States yet. But that has most certainly changed! :) I'll keep an eye out for new tour dates they have.
Jackson SLS with duncan pick ups. He has 2. One is the standard version made in japan (Kick ass guitar, i have it) and the other is the USA made (far more expensive) with an ABM bridge (the one he is playing in this video)

venturia (prog metal) has a couple(mostly English though still a good band), Anorexia Nervosa(symphonic black) also has a couple(more than venturia also good) but Misanthrope(I'm not sure how to classify em) does a lot of good metal songs in French
