That's our body's way of saying that we don't need milk anymore. It is insane we ever started drinking milk from other animals' breasts in the first place. Good luck with your new diet

My sis is vegan, and we made a "meat" lasagna, but for some extra flavour we made the lasagna leaves(?)(that's how we call em in the Netherlands) out of eggplants, which was so good. It like made the taste so much richer, but its ofc not a classic lasagna

Definitely didn’t invent this trick but mushroom broth works great as a sub for beef stock/broth and vegetable stock to replace chicken stock/broth. Hope to help :)
When I want a “chicken” noodle soup, I shred some jackfruit from a can, roast it with some seasonings to make it “meat flavored” and then drop that bish in my mushroom broth with some veggies and pasta and its soo good!

While remaining respectful..... food concepts as a whole, like for instance mac n chz, is not ethically wrong...... if you think in terms of that say goodbye to vegan burgers, "chicken" patties, cauliflower "wings"...ect and so on... No....mimicking is not by any means unethical. If anything it helps non veg people transition bc they realize how delicious the non animal product versions are and can be....

Video will be on my channel soon, but anyway here’s the recipe: Ingredients- Oregano Garlic powder Various cheeses (I used munster, velveeta, and American) Milk Butter Pasta (I made my own/ home made, but you could use store bought) Steps: Boil your water in a pan. Once the water has boiled, add your pasta of choice. While that’s cooking, start making the cheese sauce by adding your cheeses, milk, and butter and waiting for it to melt together, mixing thoroughly. There are no specific measurements. Once it’s been melted down, strain your pasta. Mix the sauce and pasta together in a separate bowl. Add equal small amounts of the garlic and oregano, and you’re done! **MAKE SURE YOURE DOING IT TO EM THROUGHOUT THIS RECIPE OR ELSE IT WONT WORK**

Miranda no the instant pot won’t let you remove the lid until the pressure is released. these electric pressure cookers are pretty damn safe, I grew up with my mom using a old style stove top pressure cooker which is terrifying. Pretty sure it at least contributed to my crippling anxiety 🙃😂 10/10 pot roast tho

My sis is vegan, and we made a "meat" lasagna, but for some extra flavour we made the lasagna leaves(?)(that's how we call em in the Netherlands) out of eggplants, which was so good. It like made the taste so much richer, but its ofc not a classic lasagna
Can you do soups?? I feel like they always call for chicken broth or some meat product even when it’s a veggie type soup
Also they’re sooo many soups, it could be fun
Definitely didn’t invent this trick but mushroom broth works great as a sub for beef stock/broth and vegetable stock to replace chicken stock/broth. Hope to help :)
When I want a “chicken” noodle soup, I shred some jackfruit from a can, roast it with some seasonings to make it “meat flavored” and then drop that bish in my mushroom broth with some veggies and pasta and its soo good!

@@ashton35 20+ years veg-head and I can honestly say NO. While remaining respectful..... food concepts as a whole, like for instance mac n chz, is not ethically wrong...... if you think in terms of that say goodbye to vegan burgers, "chicken" patties, cauliflower "wings"...ect and so on... No....mimicking is not by any means unethical. If anything it helps non veg people transition bc they realize how delicious the non animal product versions are and can be....
Please share your recipe! I’m a new flexitarian (only eat chicken and eggs) and have been looking for something to mimic the taste of them. Sloppy joes are my absolute favorite so a substitute would be amazing!!

This inspired me to make my own. Video will be on my channel soon, but anyway here’s the recipe:
Ingredients-
Oregano
Garlic powder
Various cheeses (I used munster, velveeta, and American)
Milk
Butter
Pasta (I made my own/ home made, but you could use store bought)
Steps:
Boil your water in a pan.
Once the water has boiled, add your pasta of choice.
While that’s cooking, start making the cheese sauce by adding your cheeses, milk, and butter and waiting for it to melt together, mixing thoroughly. There are no specific measurements.
Once it’s been melted down, strain your pasta.
Mix the sauce and pasta together in a separate bowl.
Add equal small amounts of the garlic and oregano, and you’re done!
**MAKE SURE YOURE DOING IT TO EM THROUGHOUT THIS RECIPE OR ELSE IT WONT WORK**

To cook noodles in an instant pot - take the lower cooking time, divide it by 2, and then subtract 2. You’ll get the perfect noodle every time. Forgot where I heard it but it’s worked every type of noodle I’ve tried so far.

I was so nervous when he was messing with the steam vent and just pulled the lid off... But it won't let you take the lid off if it's still pressurized, right? That made me feel a little better. My boyfriend really likes rice from the instant pot, so I tried writing out detailed instructions for him, and he said "I'll just figure it out" NO YOU DON'T JUST *FIGURE OUT* A PRESSURE COOKER!!!
Miranda no the instant pot won’t let you remove the lid until the pressure is released. these electric pressure cookers are pretty damn safe, I grew up with my mom using a old style stove top pressure cooker which is terrifying. Pretty sure it at least contributed to my crippling anxiety 🙃😂 10/10 pot roast tho
