Tobias was asked by the co producer of Helloween Kills to write the end credit song after a show in Los Angeles. It was supposed to come out 2020 but covid closed all theatres. So Tobias who wasn't happy with the movie version re recorded the song and it's this version you hear as the single. The original version was kept in the movie.
I was the same way. Although now it's been years that I've been into them but I had a friend/coworker tell me about them and I was just dismissive with them until I came across Secular Haze here on UA-cam and that sold me. Been into them ever since
Digging your Ghost Reactions. I am about 3-years ahead of you on my journey of discovery. I totally relate to what you are going through as you realize just how special this band is. I commented previously that you should go to the beginning and follow the arc. But F-that, do you, because at some point you will have heard them all anyway. Of that I am certain. Peace!
On their most recent tour cycle, the chanting in the middle of the song has gone to the next level. Instead of using pre-recorded male voices, it's the women backup singers with their massive voices who belt out a wildly superior version. You have to see/hear it for yourself.
It's not exactly the same song, Tobias wrote the track for the film and it got delayed due to the pandemic etc and he wasn't happy with it but the studio wouldn't let him redo it so he fixed it and put it on the Impera album :)
I'm pretty sure the best part of Halloween Kills was Hunter's Moon 😂. Great reaction, I thought you would like this one between the great tune and creepy video. "Rats" and "Faith" (the one from A Pale Tour Named Death) are both great choices for your next losten, but really you can't go wrong with Ghost! 🤘
If you want some Ghost suggestions then I'd recommend the live acoustic versions of If You Have Ghosts and Jigolo Har Megiddo. I'm gutted I never got to see those 2 live. For a ones with music videos try He Is, Year Zero, Faith or Life Eternal (when I focus on the lyrics of this I usually end up crying!).
Tobias tipped his hat to the original Halloween theme with the melody of the chorus, and this song also reminds me of another 80's soundtrack song - Dream Warriors by Dokken. Not sure if that was intentional, but the intros sound similar. What you'll notice with Ghost is how high their quality level is - they really don't have a "bad" song or album. Check out Faith, Pinnacle to the Pit, or Year Zero.
Thanks for the reaction. I love playing this on the drums. My absolute favourite part is that pause before the music drops back in again. I don't think you've done Twenties yet. I really like that one.

2:38 when you were like, “yup this song is amazing already”
Faith from a Pale Tour Named Death is gonna be massive!

Hey Josh, Fun Fact for you:
This song was on the soundtrack for "Halloween Kills"

Halloween Kills soundtrack. I really enjoyed this music when it was released. Ghost is awesome!
I'm pretty sure Tobias used the chords from the original theme in the riff which I think is a cool way to give a nod to what came before :)
@@Grimlock1975 he did! He told that in some interview
That's the album version. Movie had a slightly different version, almost like a demo. Both are great, tho. And yeah, it was played during the credits.
Only found em about 2 years ago , I’m such an idiot , absolutely love em

Fr I watched Halloween Kills mainly bc of Hunter's Moon only to find out that it's "only" the song for the credits

You should hear the official Stay vinyl version!! 🖤🦇
It’s sooooooo good. I prefer it to the movie version. Not by much, but enough. I bought the box.
Faith Faith Faith-from a Pale Horse (the video). The song is from Prequelle-second only to Rats in my mind. Give it shot shot. I bet you’ll like it.
@@MrTimothypjr It really is! It just gives more, you know!
