Simon did confirm that the cockpit was meant to be in the higher section below the crane tower, even though to me we never see them climbing steps up to the cockpit, so like many others I still think it is more logical to be in the lower section with the black window. Also those Dapol Girder Bridge Studs don’t have holes in them on the original from what I recall, but I suppose they are meant to be windows.
Great build. Enjoyed watching it come together. Wish Simon's refurb blog had been available with this was in the works. Would have been more accurate but it was the best we had at the time. You mentioned a digital version by Lee Stringer (Name?). Any chance of getting his contact info? WOUld be interested in the more accurate parts also. Cheers
I have one of these. Sadly I think its a bit to big and doesn't really fit in with the rest of my B7 ship collection. A bit smaller, about the size of the pursuit ship would have been ideal.
I know spaceships do not have to be pretty or streamlined (although this one has "wings") but it is my opinion that this is about the ugliest design for a movie / TV series ever, possibly only topped by the bad guys flagship In Starcrash! So as much as I appreciate your fascination with everything Blakes Seven ......
Thank you for your information, I have never seen this series, and I was unaware of this ship, it is the first time I have seen it.
That’s a nice ship. Going by the scale of the docking tube, the London is a small ship
Lighting 😉👍
Where would Sci Fi be without Tank Wheels?

I think it’s more logical to have the prisoners on a separate deck from the crew. It’s much easier to seal off.

Those Saturn 5 engine parts aren't on the original miniature, there's something else there, I think Mat Irvine added those !
