  • Join artist Tom Richards in his studio in Florence, as he discusses the materials of the #OldMasters still used in his practice today. In this video, recorded from quarantine, Tom looks at the pigments which make up the paints he mixes by hand. These include a lead white locked up for its toxicity, and a vermilion purchased in Kyoto. Tom also highlights the virtues of the 'Zorn Palette', used by the Swedish artist Anders Zorn, shown here in ‘Self Portrait with Model’, 1896. #colnaghifoundation
