The difference between damage step and damage calc is importantm. Honest can be activated in substep 1, 3, or 4 (damage calc) of damage step. In damage calc (sub step 4) only 1 chain can be formed and its last point where honrst can be activated. If player A just ask "damage step? Or anything before damage step?" they can get rule sharked by people who say player A activated honest in substep 1 of damage ste0 and they will activate honest in substep 3 or 4 where the honest effect wont go on the same chain. I've had ppl say they passed prio for damage step and not damage calc ...
Turn player has priority to activate quick effects first. So he uses his priority drops honest before Henry. Even if Henry drops his honest, chain resolves backwards, Henry's honest buffs kristya by 2100 attack, then Mergim's honest increases his wulfs attack by Kristya's new attack, so you still take 2100 damage. Honest vs Honest whoever drops honest first always wins, and turn player has to pass their priority in damage step for the non-tuner player to have first honest. And Mergim knows he's gonna honest for lethal and that Henry has one, so he obviously uses his priority.
Patiently waiting on the HAT tourney this week, hope you had fun at the YCS!
Hat video will be up in about two hours
