Joe Montana played in a FAR less QB friendly league, won 4 rings in 4 tries in one decade, while Brady has won 5 rings in 8 tries over the span of 19 years. Montana never threw a pick in a SB, was practically perfect on the games biggest stage. Peyton Manning has more 1st team all-pros and MVPs than Tom Brady and Drew Brees combined, has a winning record against Brady in the AFC championship, holds the record for most passing yards and passing TD’s in a season, and outplayed Brady in his second to last game as a shell of his former self. I judge players based on their peak. MJ's peak was higher than Brady's, LeBron's, Kobe's. He could've won EIGHT straight rings hadn't he pursuited baseball.
Thomas Gerber Ah yes the LBJ fan logic here... Y’all say MJ would certainly lose to the Warriors bc LBJ did so MJ has to as well. No “well he could lose or maybe” naw it’s straight up “he’d lose bc no one can beat that team” but then folks can’t say MJ would’ve gone 8-0, it’s now “well did he or he could’ve”. Stay consistent.
The Bulls never faced a great dominant center in the finals. They lose to Hakeem at least once. They had a better chance of winning it in 1999 with the shortened lockout season. They beat rookie Tim Duncan and Adirmal probably.
@@spreezyt9567 6-3 is way more impressive tbh. losing a finals and then still haveing the mental ability to go again is what the best player ever does.

Brady lost the biggest football game ever in Superbowl 42. He scored 14 points even though he had Randy Moss and was playing against a defense that was not all-time great. Also, he lost the redemption game in Superbowl 46. He cannot be the sports GOAT
@@themothaeffinpooch1206 Yes, he does have 6 rings. But it is important to tell the story of his whole career, as he also lost the biggest football game of all time in SB 42 So while there is no denying that Brady, for now anyway, stands as the football GOAT, he it really hard to rank him ahead of other athletes who stand a bit more accomplished in their respective fields.
@@joelates5334 He’s human. He’s not going to win them all. All I hear you talk about are the Superbowls he’s lost, ok what about the 6 that he’s won? He’s the only QB in history to go to 9 Superbowls and have 6 rings. He may not be the greatest athlete of all time, but he’s the GOAT of his position in football. I just think going to the Superbowl 9 times is more impressive than Michael Jordan’s 6 finals. Michael Jordan played a best of 7 in the finals, meaning someone had to beat him 4 times to beat him. Football, the playoffs and Superbowl games are one and done. That’s why Brady’s legacy is better than MJ’s.
Why do people forget about Bill Russell The Man won 11 championships.. If you are using the championship argument then it's not even close.. 11 championships Shannon has a biased opinion, he's not gonna up football over basketball 😂
Ali Razaak It shows that the league had only the 80 best players in the world, Nowadays they are 400 players in the NBA. Its like penalizing him for when he was born. I am tired seeing Russell get disrespected so much. Both Kareem and Wilt, said Russell is the greatest player even over themselves, and Phil Jackson said Russell is in his shortlist of players if he is going to start a franchise. Additionally, Kareem also said that the effect of how you play is how you should be judged, and Russell is the most impactful player in history relative to era, over MJ, over Bird, over LeBron, over Curry, over Kareem himself. Bill Russell is the GOAT for me, MJ is a close second, the difference between them is Russell had a better balance of being a person, teammate, and a competitor, while MJ for me is pathologically competitive, and was not a very good person or teammate.
Bosco Tung if you look at the competition that Jordan faced compared to Bill Russell, it’s not even close lmao. Jordan dealt with the bad boy pistons, the jazz, the pacers, Charles Barkley, and Karl Malone. We don’t see people score 100 points in games anymore for a reason it’s not disrespectful. Degree of difficulty matters.
Ali Razaak See your resorting competition into the argument. Name me one player more dominant than Wilt Chamberlain, he is single most destructive force in the history of the NBA, and he beat Russell only once in a playoff series. When Wilt teamed up with the logo Jerry West, who is the 2nd greatest PG of All Time imo, and one of the most underrated players in history in Elgin Baylor, forming a super team, they still cant beat Russell and the Celtics in the finals. Russell faced the great Bob Pettit and the Hawks in his prime. Faced Oscar Robertson who averaged a triple double without stat padding in a season, and even won MVP the season Oscar averaged a 30 point triple double and Wilt averaging 50 a game, cause the players know how much Russell impacted the Celtics. The great George Mikan, said not only Russell was the greatest, he also said that it is scary how good Russell is. I would argue that Wilt and West is greater than any player you mentioned in the 80s and 90s, and he dismantled them in the same team. The point is the degree of difficulty is arbitrary, and that MJ made Malone and Stockton ringless, is the same with Russell limiting Wilt to 1 ring, West 0 ring, Baylor 0 ring, and Pettit 1 ring when he played. If Russell were injury free in the finals defeat against the Hawks, the Celtics would have won that too and The GOAT would have 12 rings with a 12-0 finals record in a 13 year career. Russell only lost 1 playoff series when healthy, and that was against Wilt and arguable the greatest team in history in the 67’ 76ers. MJ on the other hand, is 1-9 in the playoffs without Scottie Pippen, I still take him over Kareem though, as he still at lead the Bulls to a quite weak eastern conference playoffs with sometimes a losing record in his early days. When MJ retired in 93’ the Bulls won 2 less games than the year previously, and loss to the Knicks and Ewing, with a blatant refereeing miscall in game 7, I bet they would have made the Finals that year. Before Russell came, the celtics dont even make the playoffs with league MVP Bob Cousy and Bill Sharman. After he retired, the Celtics did not make the playoffs with a prime John Havlicek, who I would argue is the 14th greatest player in history. Russell is clearly more impactful than MJ, and he is a better teammate and leader.
Jordan is 6-0 in the Finals with 2 3peats and 6 finals MVPs. Brady is 5-3 in the Superbowl, lost one with an 18-0 team, and is a 4 time Superbowl MVP. Why is this an argument? Also Jordan played defense and made crucial plays on defense. Brady just throws the ball. Dumb comparison
It's not even close. MJ all day. The only athlete I compare to Jordan is Floyd. 50-0 record, 11 championships in 5 divisions, beat the most world champs, won all 29 title fights, connected on the highest percentage, greatest plus/minus rating in boxing history, and is currently rated #1 pound for pound ever by Boxrec.
I don’t understand the argument about having game winning drives is better than just dominating wins Why can’t he be so great that he wins the game by the end of the first
MJ was clutch on both sides of the ball. Brady only plays on side of the ball. MJs legacy doesn't have any question marks or as where as Tom Brady's has about 5 of them ijs. MJ is far more impressive and it's not even close. MICHAEL IS MICHAEL and was the ultimate assassin. Tom Brady needed help from the refs.
Qb is the hardest position to play in any sport , basketball is positionless at this point , one star easily turn a franchise around . Football is way harder to win games
This is such a nonsense comparison. QBs basically rack up assists every pass, but they get the credit for the points. Basketball doesn't do that. An assist is just an assist. Football is the ultimate team sport. Everything starts with the O-line pass/run blocking for a play to be executed. Brady misses a season to a knee injury and then the following season, the NFL implements a rule change. NBA dont do that. I gotta ride with MJ on this one, but it's just not a comparable 🐐 conversation. Now if you wanna go MJ vs some RB then we could have a debate, but QBs need to go sit down somewhere.
imagine playing against bad boy pistons (1986-90) and New York knicks (1990-93) the two toughest team in nba history while averaging 32 7 8 2 2 shooting 53% unimaginable i don't think tom has that experience
Disagree. Jordan is still the greatest athlete alive, or who has ever lived. Most driven. Most skilled in his sport. He singlehandedly lead his team to and won six championships. No question, he is the greatest ever.
Tom Brady is the greatest nfl player of all time reaching 9 superbowls with 5 rings. But he's lost 3 of those so far and he wasn't the main reason why the first 3 teams got to the superbowl it was their good defense. MJ has been to only 6 finals yes but he's won every single one, gone through 4 rounds instead of Brady's annual 3, and was the overwhelming reason those teams won
WHAT? The man that’s 6 for 6 and never lost in the finals has been surpassed by a guy that lost to Eli manning and then a back up QB. Skip you’re embarrassing
@@mikecraig2062 Football is soooo much more of a team game. Jordan has an impact on defense, Brady doesn't. @@mikecraig2062 What do you mean he never lost? It took Jordan 7 years just to make it to the Finals. MJ started his playoff career 1-9. Brady started 10-0.
Skip talks about MJ not having as many opportunities to be "clutch" such as no game 7s in the NBA finals. Well, that's because he was so dominant he usually ended things before they got close. So you cannot hold that against MJ.
Basketball players play 82 games per season and perhaps another 20+ in the postseason. Football players play 16-19 games per season. Umm, why are you comparing them? 🤣
Jordan is the NBA GOAT because he completely dominated the entire NBA for an entire decade. Brady is the SPORTS GOAT because he completely dominated the entire NFL for 2 decades in a row. The combination of winning, stats, records and longevity by Brady will never be matched by any player in any sport.

What about those second round knockouts to the celtics and pistons? Losing in the championship is still a bigger accomplishment than not making it. Brady has been to 8, Jordan went to 6 plus the NFL is way harder to dominate than the NBA
Carolina Howard It’s way harder in the nfl because you play someone multiple times to advance meanwhile the nba you have so many chances. Like the warriors choking a 3-1 lead lol
I can't agree with this, only because in the NBA, you have to play more games to even make it to your championship game, and more games to win it. Not to mention, he's got more titles in less time, and Jordan played both sides of the ball. Tom Brady only plays one side of the ball.
Top 5 Athletes I would pay $1,000 to see live in their prime (Deceased or Alive) - 1. Mike Tyson 2. Michael Jordan 3. Tom Brady 4. LeBron James 5. Barry Bonds Honorable Mention: Lawrence Taylor
+dj manning he literally didn't and you are the only one that sounds dumb. In Brady's first 10 playoff games he won all of them. In Jordan's first 3 season the Bulls lost in the 1st round. Losing series 3-1, 3-0 and 3-0 so he had a 1-9 record in his first 10 playoff games.
You think being undefeated makes you great and that’s unfair to say. All the greats take losses, and it’s how you come back from those losses. Brady went to the finals 9 times, MJ went to the finals 6 times, so what’s more impressive? Obviously Brady going to 9 compared to 6. Brady also played longer, and the Superbowl isn’t a best of 7 series like NBA is. It’s one and done. If the NBA finals was one and done, MJ wouldn’t be 6-0. That’s the difference.
This has been in the making, skip is a top level social engineer/influencer whose job it is to prop up certain athletes and completely defame others. Tom Brady has been chosen to be GOAT, his legacy has been manufactured to support that title and skip is one of the many media members/outlets that are out there to propagate that narrative. Just based on the “eye test“ we all know that MJ is the greatest athlete who ever lived but numbers can convince even the most staunchest of supporters. Skip is nothing more than a propagandist, a damn good one too, whose job it is to influence thought. That's why most of his takes are asanine and make no sense but they way he manipulates the facts always gives off the impression that his logic is sound. Don't get me wrong, LBJ, MJ and all others have been chosen for different narratives as well but TOM BRADY has been chosen to be not only the greatest football player, over Jerry Rice, but the GOAT period, as MJ has been for years.
MJ and it shouldn't even be close. Many of Tom Brady's postseason wins have come as a result of his field-goal kicker or his defense or having a great running game. In basketball there are only five people for the team on the court playing both ways. Michael Jordan could have a much bigger impact than Tom Brady ever could. A basketball player could single-handedly win a game on offense and defense almost. Football players have to rely on their defense while they are sitting on the bench. Not even a fair comparison. also just to throw this out there, the Chicago bulls were never accused of cheating twice! to me that negates three of Tom Brady's superbowls right there.
Adam Thilges brady has never had the best running game brady has more clutch moments than Mj in the playoffs He has the most gwd and the 4th quarter comebacks Mj doesn’t have that many clutch moments

Brady also had the ball last in all of those Superbowls that he lost. Yet, he could not find victory. Still, Skip says he is a greater post-season performer and more clutch athlete than MJ.
MJ had 2 three peats in 8 years. The only reason why it couldn’t have been more within those 8 years because he retired for a year. All those finals he played in never even went to a game 7. Skip somehow thinks that hurts him because he didnt have he opportunity to show his clutch gene but making sure all 6 of your finals never go to a game 7 is showing a clutch gene 😂
To skips comments in the beginning....uhhhh Wayne Gretzky ring a bell? No one will ever break his records nor come close. If the dude never shot at the net and just had all his points from assists he'd still be the NHL all time point leader.
That would require them to mention Hockey which is apparently forbidden in America. Gretzky is the most dominant North American team sport athlete and it is not even close.
The longevity of Brady is insane, no doubt. However, Brady lost the biggest, most important football game ever in SB 42 (in spite of having the greatest team ever assembled in the salary cap era). And then 4 years later, he went on to lose the redemption game in SB 46. Those 2 historic blunders really damage his case for sports GOAT.
Much more difficult to make the post season in the NFL than in the NBA. It is also more difficult to win in the NFL post season than the NBA postseason. Tom Brady playing almost 20 years is unheard of in the NFL, especially at the level he is playing. Tom Brady is definitely a legend that people will be talking about the next 50 to 75 years.
Jordan has all 6 finals MVPs which means he was the most important player every single finals and also Jordan had to play on both offense and defense which mean he has a better and bigger affect in his sport in which Brady has to rely on his teammates to do the spectacular in which they did for most of those Super Bowls in which is the reason he wasn’t Super Bowl mvp....And if you would go as far as saying 6-3 and comparing it to a flawless 6-0 why not compare Bill Russell to everyone instead ?🤔 and Shannon always hating on Jordan because his love for LeBron lol
leron datcher lmao at this entire post. Brady has the most Super bowl MVP’s in NFL history the 2 times he didn’t win it was because the WR’s he was throwing to won it, Brady has to play every play on offense basketball players get to take entire quarters off, Brady has to have a different team every year and in basketball you can keep your players, anyone with a brain would rather be 6-3 than 6-0, and Bill Russell played in an 8 team league and I’m a Celtics fan. Jordan is no doubt the NBA goat but you clearly have an extreme bias
I LOVE THIS SHOW BEING ON YOU TUBE!!! IT ALLOWS ME TO JUMP TO JUST THE TIMES THAT SKIP IS TALKING AND NOT HAVE TO LISTEN TO SHARPE FLAKING HIS JAWS!!! SHARPE IS SO LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS!!!!!!
In Brady’s 3 SB losses, he put his team up in the 4th Qtr. And last year, he threw for 500 yards in a loss, which is like a pitcher losing a one hitter.
When MJ made the finals, there was never any doubt he would dominate. 6 Finals, 6 Wins, 6 FMVPs. That's perfect performance. When Brady plays SB, you can never be sure he would win you the game. 9 SBs, 6 Wins, 4 FMVPS. That's not dominant--that's a coin flip. All Patriots SB were close games, that means Brady couldn't be called dominant. Compared to Montana 49ers, outscored the opponents by 45 points in one of those games. That's dominant SB performance. Longevity? NBA plays 82 games a year. NFL only 16. That's 5 times as much. That means MJ would have played around 1400 games vs TB 360 games. Who exert more energy during playoffs? NBA playoff average play time: 4 rounds x 5.5 games x 36 mins = 792 mins. NFL playoff: 3 rounds x 1 games x 30 mins = 90 mins. 792 mins. vs 90 mins. MJ played a lot more minutes than TB. MJ won his 6th title by his 12th full season; TB on his 17th full season. MJ Bulls had the best record at the time with 72 wins--which stood for about 20 years. And capped the season with Championship victory. OTOH TB Patriots had perfect 16-0 season, but choked in SB and failed to win Championship in otherwise perfect season. Therefore, it's obviously MJ was much more dominant and better postseason player.

Brady is the greatest sports player of all time. It was Jordan for a long time but Brady’s career is untouchable and he’s not even done yet.
Brady lost the biggest football game ever in Superbowl 42. He scored 14 points even though he had Randy Moss and was playing against a defense that was not all-time great. Also, he lost the redemption game in Superbowl 46. He cannot be the sports GOAT
@@joelates5334 He has 6 rings and 9 Superbowl appearances 😂😂😂
Uh, no, Peyton manning is statistically better than Brady in the regular and postseason.

He won 11 championships when there was only 8 teams in the league lol
Mr Smarty-pants Mj’s 6 > Russell’s 11 easy

4/6 Super Bowl MVP’s
3 MVP’s
3/4 in 2001-2004
3/5 in 2014-2019
MJ’s the GOAT of GOAT’s!

Jordan is no doubt the NBA goat but you clearly have an extreme bias

In Brady’s 3 SB losses, he put his team up in the 4th Qtr. And last year, he threw for 500 yards in a loss, which is like a pitcher losing a one hitter.
He had the ball last to win or tie in all of those games. Why did he not close the deal? Why?
