Polestar Electric Vehicle Slams Into Home Causing Major Damage | Lake Forest

An elderly man was not injured after his electric vehicle reportedly malfunctioned sending it careening into his neighbors home.
The Orange County Fire Authority responded and when they arrived on scene they found a single vehicle into the garage of the home with some support of the building being compromised.
The driver was trapped inside, however firefighters helped the man exit the vehicle through the rear door of the car.
The building department as well as gas & electric company were called to assist as the vehicle sheared power lines coming into the building.
No injuries were reported however the homeowners building is now red tagged until repairs can be made.

It's funny, if this was a tesla this incident would be a headline on every big news outlet. Theres nothing about this anywhere.
Probably because Polestar isn't boasting about their cars having AI and all that shit, which is what people always pick apart in those headlines. This is just a normal car. No ratings benefit.
Hopefully the old man whose electric car malfunctioned has good insurance and that they don't try to screw the homeowner over!!

Why would the propulsion system matter? They all have an accelerator and a brake.
What has being an EV got to do with it? I see more non EVs crash. We've got 2 EVs and never had an issue. Far more reliable, and safer, than any ICE car we've had.

The vehicle didn't malfunction, the driver did. If you have a medical condition that would cause you to lose control of your car, you should've be driving, at all. I don't know why the government allow these ticking time bombs to operate deadly weapons on the road. SMH
