Just listened to the bathroom mask section and i think the best solution for everyone is for link to have a designated bathroom mask that he changes into the moment he walks into the bathroom and then swap back right before he leaves. He can hold his breath while swapping the masks lol
I always try to make a point of taking pics of parts of the house. Even though looking back at old pics, even just a year or two ago are interesting, being able to actually see a room unlocks way more memories than an image of something specific
Rhett over here casually using Magic and even incorporating blood into it to get where he is. I love that energy.
I’m catching up on some episodes, and I love these “looking back” episodes. Hearing about where everything all began is just so cool. As someone who is very much like Link, I hate that he seemingly followed Rhett in some decisions, but I’m so glad to know that because you can really see his growth! Keep up these type of episodes, because they help us see y’all in a “new” light!

I love episodes like this, but it also makes me a little melancholy because I had a best friend since 1st grade and up until around 21. I love hearing about their friendship, but it makes me sad because I haven’t talked to my former best friend in like 5 years.

i also had a similar high-school twin type of friendship but unfortunately as we separated and went to colleges in different counties it didn’t survive no matter how hard we tried. still, i absolutely love the memories we made and the way our relationship felt at the time☺️
From the age that my parents let me go places myself to a year and a couple months getting paralyzed, I have been a woods kid. Alone, best friend, with a stranger. Off the trail, in a tree, in the river and lakes with leeches. Catching things by hand and honestly doing some terrible things that taught me well. If you have any free time, friend reading this, go and have a safe walk or adventure somewhere.

I would like to politely ask Rhett to speak at a normal average volume for more of the time because when I listen to this podcast in the car especially, Rhetts voice often gets quiet and I can barely hear but I dont want to turn the volume too high because the rest of the speaking is a good volume . thank you for coming to my Ted talk
Probably gonna get a lot of hate for this, but the whole mask discussion right off the rip was ridiculous. The amount of time people end up touching their masks with their hands makes the masks more dangerous than 'life saving'. If you can wash your hands every time you touch ANYTHING, then wearing a mask might do you some good. But if you are not washing your hands after every single time you touch something, then by touching your mask, at all, you are defeating the point.
It's comically insane that California is still talking about masks let alone wearing them.

I have a question for US people.
What do you call "science"? Like what kind of class is this?
We used to have very particular classes. Chemistry, physics, biology, geography, stuff like that. So I have no idea what you mean when you say "science".
We have specific courses also but not typically until Jr. High or High School. Grade School or elementary school typically has generic "science" class where you learn a bit of all the sciences. However, even in high school, I'm from midwest/more rural area of us, we might be taking chemistry but you might refer to it as science class. same with math. especially when you get older you likely wouldn't recall your "chemistry" class but say "he was on my science class" or "one of my science classes"
You set yourself up for a lot of jokes when you say you don't understand science.

I did marching band in high school and we started practice twice a week 4 weeks into a 10ish week Summer break.
I got my swim team letter jacket and my pin during my Freshman year of HS. I believe I was the first on the team to earn enough points for it. I was also the team captain. It's not that rare.
Min 2:00 - NO, not standing on the top of a ladder, listening to this part on the podcast version made me sweat. I did the same thing... EXCEPT IT WAS IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AUDITORIUM! Kids from drill team dared someone to climb up the ladder that the janitor left in there, and I was the idiot kid that did it... to see if I could touch the lamp. Tiny 70 lb, 11 y/o me stood on the top of the tallest ladder I had ever seen in my life. I froze up there. And every time I recall it, it is as vivid as where I'm sitting right now. *shudder* Funny, I don't remember how they got me down. I should ask friends I still know from back in those days, doing stupid stuff.
As someone who is afraid of ladders, reading your story made me nervous and my hands sweat 😂 just thinking being on the top step, makes me so nervous 😬

Rhett really teaches me a lot about myself. We are very similar in nature and had very comparable high school experiences… Thanks for being so transparent and candid you guys
omg Links logic is so faulty. Ok. You do not want to wear the mask whilst poopy-time, otherwise at risk of getting fecal matter on the mask. Thus, potentially breathing in poopy-mc-poop-poop. However, taking the mask off , so as to do the dung-beetle-shuffle, can mean directly breathing in the particles of darkness. Thus, when you put the mask back on, you are now trapping the ungodly composites of dread into the mask for you to constantly breathe in throughout the day. Clearly, the obvious solution to this moral dilemma is to simply wear a mask within, and get a new one after.
Dude, I know ranger Keith. He was on "The Voice" and is a great singer. I was in a band in college with his brother and we played together a little as well. Keith is awesome and a really cool dude. Give that dude a follow and check out his music.
Their experiences of developing separate identities in high school is strangely close to my experience as a twin. I never thought I would say that.

My friend said his baby son pooped from his mouth. Health problems mean his child has to use a feeding tube and apparently there is a valve in the guts somewhere that, if not operating properly, can let the poo go back up through the face. Sad, but he told the story to make me laugh after our friend died, so funny? Still conflicted.
I think even more than them being best friends, I think Rhett was also a partial father figure to link. Someone to share their belief’s.
