This process also works for vMix Call!!! So if you have a virtual guest and they have a green screen, you can assist them with a fun background. Thanks so much!!
Hi!!! Thanks for your videos, they are really useful. I work in a chroma key room and I have this silly doubt about how inserting a PPT in vMix if the PPT has green colors. The green of the CI style of the PPT is very similar to the chroma background, so the colors of the PPT disappear. Thanks in advance!!!
Hi, could you send through an email to out Support Team- www.vmix.com/contact-us.aspx. It will depend how you're using your Powerpoint slides. If you have your chroma keyed camera input, you can overlay that as a layer onto your Powerpoint and it shouldn't cause a conflict. Send us through an email though with some examples.
Thank you so much @@vMixhd In fact, today I was testing in the chroma key room and everything was fine. I think what happened that day was that I applied the layers (ppt, images and so on) inside the Camera itself (instead of creating from Blank a new Scene to have all the layers there). Does it makes sense? Thanks!!
I use vmix to run ndi streams and broadcasts from TEams for a client and didn't even think to look up a channel on youtube. This is going to help save me some time chroma keying a background for an upcoming event.
Doesn't work. When I go to select color all I have is a black empty box. You do not explain what to do to fix that. You just go on and on. How about some troubleshooting tips. Now I can't chroma key. Why does not my camera show up? I had it as a input but when I go to select color nothing shows up but a black empty box. Also, there is no background category showing up. Where is that?
When this video was made you could only pre-blur the background input with another software tool, but when vMix 26 is released you can blur inputs on demand.
Has anyone tried removing the color from a Red Screen? I can't get it to remove reds at all. It removes the blacks before the reds when I use the dropper.
i think everybody who touched vmix already understood how to do that like in first 10 minutes after opening program. maybe you hire me to do some vmix tutorials? i think i know the whole thing after 3 years of using:D
Hi,it's kind of collapsible! It's one of those that has a metal frame that's supposed to be able to be folded. It's not so great in practice though, we've spent a lot of time wrestling with that thing! We bought it from B+H many years ago and it doesn't look like they sell that model anymore. They have some similar ones one if you search their site for 'green screen'.
Could a guest zooming in be keyed if he had a decent greenscreen set up?

How Do I Get To The
Croma Key In VMix?
Click on the input settings of the input you want to add the key to- it's the little gear icon in the bottom right. Then click on the Colour Key tab.
You glossed over how to blur the background a little bit. You mean in vMix you can do this??? Or the background must be pre-blurred?
When this video was made you could only pre-blur the background input with another software tool, but when vMix 26 is released you can blur inputs on demand.
What are all those settings for in vmix colour key? I can't seem to do chroma keying with other colours.
"the image we loaded earlier"
**searches furiously for a basic tutorial on how to load an image into vmix**
Sorry, yes, Add Input>Image. Browse for image, click OK.

Anyone know where I can get a large green screen like the one used here?
Places like B+H sell green screens like this. I think that's where we bought ours from.
@@vMixhd Thanks for the info. Building my home school studio to teach class.

Tim - what model green screen is that 0:31 that you used for the video? It looks to be collapsible and wide enough for widescreen shots.

@@vMixhd Thanks!
Does anyone know what to do if the background keeps turning black even though we have a camera connected?
You could send our Support Team an email to take a look- www.vmix.com/contact-us.aspx
Thank You so much 💓))))

Thank you very much. It's really helpful for my job.
Wow very helpful..

SUPER
Great Video, But you need to Slow The Hell Down. We the beginners are slow learners.
Then use the playback speed function.
Hell, I'd might even suggest to use... the pause button!
