Beautiful Kudat: Gong Making in Kampung Sumangkap

One of the most significant gong factories in Borneo can be found at Kampung Sumangkap. It is a cottage industry where 50-60 households produce gongs for a living; or they used to until there was lesser demand for gongs. Some of them have started rubber tapping for a living instead.
