It's too much and I love it hahaha! I was totally speechless. On a serious note, the whole FACE album is about Jimin's struggles during the quarantine and how he was always drinking to probably forget how lonely he was. They all were and specifically, he, was very vocal of how he became super sad when pandemic hit and when their Map of the Soul World Tour was cancelled. That he even cried the first time that he saw and heard ARMY again live in an online concert. Jimin is sooo multi faceted. RM is right. He is an idol who can do it all. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
First of all, your reaction at the beginning was all of us when it dropped. Second, in terms of the choreo, there was so much meaning behind it throughout. This whole video is an astounding representation of him breaking through so many things including his depression during Covid. In terms of the lift at the end? I burst into tears when that happened (and still do). It’s a mirror of part of his choreo for his song, “Lie,” which is also a very personal song for him. In that though, he’s lifted but then is put back down facing forward and continues the song - continues the Lie. With this, he finally broke through the Lie and is walking away as himself and truly accepting who that is (at least that’s what I got from it). For f all your opps - that guy gets so much hate, it’s ridiculous. It comes from people who are solo fans of other members, certain shippers, as well as other fandoms. I love this video and all of the layers so much. And yes, the live performances of this are amazing. They’re from broadcast music shows though, so you can’t react on here because of copyright. And I wrote a whole book - sorry about that.

Set Me Free Pt 2 is the last song on the album other than the hidden song “Letter” aka “Dear.Army” which was only on the physical CD. Seeing this made me that much more excited, for the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” released last yr on March 24, along with his main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. He is so hot when he curses! lol. His battle within. Each time he tries to get right they take him back into darkness. The choreography was epic. I think this was one of the hardest I’ve seen due to the number of dancers that had to be in sync. Great job. Loved his angry robotic head voice and his pleading high voice to want to be free.

We recently learned that jimin had a friend who tried scamming him for money. That guy begged Jimin for money saying it's family emergency, Jimin being the kindest soul gave him 100M won, that's 74K dollars. He was smart enough to get IOU done. The guy was actually using the money for gambling 😮💨. He was supposed to return the money in a week but didn't, yet jimin knowing he wasn't getting the money back said that he has 10 years to give the money back. That's basically him not asking for money back even after getting IOU done. Karma hit that guy, he was exposed now. I don't know why the company had to bring Jimin into this tho, they keep disrespecting his privacy. They do it when he's not present to handle the situation too 😮💨
Why is Jimin screaming out "Set Me Free?" An explanation. But know this. RM and Suga and JHope all have songs on their solo albums where they are spitting out their anthems and anger and frustration. V and JK and Jin not so much. Here is what happened. BTS work 360 days a year. No days off. No weekends off. No holidays off. Except for 2 Christmases. They got worked so hard they discussed disbanding in 2018. They decided to continue on. Then the pandemic hit. But they still worked. Created an online concert. Taped performances for appearances and award shows. They were assigned to create their own album from concept to the design of the album and packaging. They made 3 English hit songs and MV's and became even more worldwide famous and busy. They celebrated their 10 year anniversary at Festa. But then they surprised us and announced they were taking a break. Not breaking up, but taking a year off to do solo work. Which worked perfectly because they were all entering the military at staggered times. But we all cried because they explained they were brain dead. Burned out to the core. They became humans doing busy work instead of being human beings. They sacrificed their soul for their success. Many went into a depression. Thus the songs they wrote reflected what they had been going through. Thus, Jimin screamed out "Set Me Free!" Secretly we were happy they had to go into the military. Because NO more show business. No more rehearsing. Even their BTS vacations were really work. No freedom to do what they wanted. They were still be filmed 24 x 7. No privacy. Now they had a real job with real people. And they could heal physically and emotionally and psychologically and spiritually. Jin was proud to say he gained 20 lbs of muscle. He had gotten down to 120 lbs. He was sleeping 12 hours a day. And playing games for 12 hours. He did heal from his depression and gained 20 lbs before he went into military. All the guys are excelling in the military. Jin won so many awards by being the first to hit the standard physical training tests before anyone else. He was promoted. Even recognized by the Top Brass for excelling as a soldier. Jimin won first place of all the soldiers in the Taekwondo competition. He was honored too. And they've all been promoted because of their high quality work ethic and mastering all the soldier skills. JHope is a top drill Sargeant! Find him spitting out his anger in "More" and "Arson". You won't recognize him. He isn't Mr. Sunshine anymore! RM's 2nd album is whoa...full of anger and frustration. Suga's last concert on his concert tour is a MUST SEE. I've never seen a more emotional concert! Anyway. They've all survived their hard work and fame. They are becoming whole again. Yes, Jimin drank a lot..sitting in a corner. They've all become human beings again. And are dedicated to starting Chapter 2 of BTS. We are all praying they won't he worked to death again. Actually, they aren't young anymore. Jin said BTS will last as long as their knees hold out. We hope they can be firm and set limits so they won't be burned out again. Now you know. A little bit of their history. V has the hardest time. But I see you saw him on "Suchwita" where he goes into detail how hard it was for them. At an award show at the end of 2018 Jin explains the awards they won that night are so special because they almost disbanded. That acceptance speech was so sad. All of them cried. Especially V. Jimin's "Face" is a concept albun that tells a story from the first song to the last - and "Set Me Free Pt. 2" is the last track of the story. He suffered from depression during the pandemic - he was supposed to be on tour with BTS and he missed the live stage with live Army - it brought him to tears at their Online-concert to "Map of the Soul: 7" (album). He hid it from himself but a good friend pointed it out to him that he was not well. (alcohol played a role) In this last song he set himself free. (Interlude: Set Met Free is actually a Yoongi song from his mixtape D-2; while Jimin developed his song he noticed that the song was - in a way - a continuation of the theme of Yoongi's song so he named his song Pt. 2) And yes, he performed this live. Set Me Free part 2 was the pre release track for the FACE album - so the first track we heard from Jimin in Chapter 2. Apart from loving the sound of the song, what I also adore is the confidence for him to create this. Jimin has always seemed so hard on himself perhaps even underestimating his own talent. His prior releases - Lie, Serendipity and Promise made me anticipate a different sound than what we got on FACE, which when I think about it is typical BTS - they’ll try to give you a different style each time. Whilst I will always prefer seeing BTS as OT7 it is undeniable that Chapter 2 solo activities have been great for each of them as individual artists, with maybe Jimin growing the most in confidence.

This song was a revelation for so many people. An amazing Performance Art piece. I really love it and listen to it when I need to remember to keep moving forward and not giving up. You could follow this up with his Letter for Dear Army - the live clip - that followed this track (SMFp2). But also the dance practice for this video is important because the MV is so dark you can’t see all the amazing precise movements. There are several live performances but I don't know if it's safe to react to them on YT, There is a dance practice on BangtanTV, and a cool part of it is that you can REALLY see the dancers & Jimin's movements, even better than the MV. When this video came out, I could hardly contain my shout when he appeared after the blackout with the tattoos' (BTS has kept pretty covered up over the years, so it was pretty shocking at the time!) I think most fans were gobsmacked when this came out so you are among friends 💜 I agree that they keep coming up with fresh, creative music and performances.

This shookt the entire ARMY fandom lol! As a Jimin Bias, I was already flabbergasting with abs reveal at that time. But when Set Me Free came out, I was like...woahhhhh! It's too much and I love it hahaha! I was totally speechless. On a serious note, the whole FACE album is about Jimin's struggles during the quarantine and how he was always drinking to probably forget how lonely he was. They all were and specifically, he, was very vocal of how he became super sad when pandemic hit and when their Map of the Soul World Tour was cancelled. First of all, your reaction at the beginning was all of us when it dropped.
Second, in terms of the choreo, there was so much meaning behind it throughout. This whole video is an astounding representation of him breaking through so many things including his depression during Covid. In terms of the lift at the end? I burst into tears when that happened (and still do). It’s a mirror of part of his choreo for his song, “Lie,” which is also a very personal song for him. In that though, he’s lifted but then is put back down facing forward and continues the song - continues the Lie. With this, he finally broke through the Lie and is walking away as himself and truly accepting who that is (at least that’s what I got from it).
For f all your opps - that guy gets so much hate, it’s ridiculous. It comes from people who are solo fans of other members, certain shippers, as well as other fandoms.
I love this video and all of the layers so much. And yes, the live performances of this are amazing. They’re from broadcast music shows though, so you can’t react on here because of copyright. And I wrote a whole book - sorry about that.

He is so hot when he curses! lol. His battle within. Each time he tries to get right they take him back into darkness. The choreography was epic. I think this was one of the hardest I’ve seen due to the number of dancers that had to be in sync. Great job. Loved his angry robotic head voice and his pleading high voice to want to be free.

We recently learned that jimin had a friend who tried scamming him for money. That guy begged Jimin for money saying it's family emergency, Jimin being the kindest soul gave him 100M won, that's 74K dollars. He was smart enough to get IOU done.
The guy was actually using the money for gambling 😮💨.
He was supposed to return the money in a week but didn't, yet jimin knowing he wasn't getting the money back said that he has 10 years to give the money back. That's basically him not asking for money back even after getting IOU done.
Karma hit that guy, he was exposed now. I don't know why the company had to bring Jimin into this tho, they keep disrespecting his privacy. They do it when he's not present to handle the situation too 😮💨

Why is Jimin screaming out "Set Me Free?" An explanation. But know this. RM and Suga and JHope all have songs on their solo albums where they are spitting out their anthems and anger and frustration. V and JK and Jin not so much. Here is what happened. BTS work 360 days a year. No days off. No weekends off. No holidays off. Except for 2 Christmases. They got worked so hard they discussed disbanding in 2018. They decided to continue on. Then the pandemic hit. But they still worked. Created an online concert. Taped performances for appearances and award shows. They were assigned to create their own album from concept to the design of the album and packaging. They made 3 English hit songs and MV's and became even more worldwide famous and busy. They celebrated their 10 year anniversary at Festa. But then they surprised us and announced they were taking a break. Not breaking up, but taking a year off to do solo work. Which worked perfectly because they were all entering the military at staggered times. But we all cried because they explained they were brain dead. Burned out to the core. They became humans doing busy work instead of being human beings. They sacrificed their soul for their success. Many went into a depression. Thus the songs they wrote reflected what they had been going through. Thus, Jimin screamed out "Set Me Free!" Secretly we were happy they had to go into the military. Because NO more show business. No more rehearsing. Even their BTS vacations were really work. No freedom to do what they wanted. They were still be filmed 24 x 7. No privacy. Now they had a real job with real people. And they could heal physically and emotionally and psychologically and spiritually. Jin was proud to say he gained 20 lbs of muscle. He had gotten down to 120 lbs. He was sleeping 12 hours a day. And playing games for 12 hours. He did heal from his depression and gained 20 lbs before he went into military. All the guys are excelling in the military. Jin won so many awards by being the first to hit the standard physical training tests before anyone else. He was promoted. Even recognized by the Top Brass for excelling as a soldier. Jimin won first place of all the soldiers in the Taekwondo competition. He was honored too. And they've all been promoted because of their high quality work ethic and mastering all the soldier skills. JHope is a top drill Sargeant! Find him spitting out his anger in "More" and "Arson". You won't recognize him. He isn't Mr. Sunshine anymore! RM's 2nd album is whoa...full of anger and frustration. Suga's last concert on his concert tour is a MUST SEE. I've never seen a more emotional concert! Anyway. They've all survived their hard work and fame. They are becoming whole again. Yes, Jimin drank a lot..sitting in a corner. They've all become human beings again. And are dedicated to starting Chapter 2 of BTS. We are all praying they won't he worked to death again. Actually, they aren't young anymore. Jin said BTS will last as long as their knees hold out. We hope they can be firm and set limits so they won't be burned out again. Now you know. A little bit of their history. V has the hardest time. But I see you saw him on "Suchwita" where he goes into detail how hard it was for them. At an award show at the end of 2018 Jin explains the awards they won that night are so special because they almost disbanded. That acceptance speech was so sad. All of them cried. Especially V. Jimin's "Face" is a concept albun that tells a story from the first song to the last - and "Set Me Free Pt. 2" is the last track of the story.
He suffered from depression during the pandemic - he was supposed to be on tour with BTS and he missed the live stage with live Army - it brought him to tears at their Online-concert to "Map of the Soul: 7" (album).
He hid it from himself but a good friend pointed it out to him that he was not well.

In this last song he set himself free.

Set Me Free part 2 was the pre release track for the FACE album - so the first track we heard from Jimin in Chapter 2. Apart from loving the sound of the song, what I also adore is the confidence for him to create this. Jimin has always seemed so hard on himself perhaps even underestimating his own talent. His prior releases - Lie, Serendipity and Promise made me anticipate a different sound than what we got on FACE, which when I think about it is typical BTS - they’ll try to give you a different style each time.
Whilst I will always prefer seeing BTS as OT7 it is undeniable that Chapter 2 solo activities have been great for each of them as individual artists, with maybe Jimin growing the most in confidence.

This song was a revelation for so many people. An amazing Performance Art piece. I really love it and listen to it when I need to remember to keep moving forward and not giving up. You could follow this up with his Letter for Dear Army - the live clip - that followed this track (SMFp2). But also the dance practice for this video is important because the MV is so dark you can’t see all the amazing precise movements. I think the dancers in black could represent the doubts, fears and lack of confidence that he suffered at the start. And the autotune voice represents that angry, frustrated inner voice.

I think this is directed inward. He used to be weighed down by trying to be manly enough, good enough, worrying about what others thought and was crazy hard on himself. So happy that he’s at peace and comfortable with who he is. He’s such a beautiful artist. 💜

Jimin loves art and you definitely can see it in his MVs the maze is actually representing the Fibonacci sequence, he loves double meanings and art and is a mathematical genius so you never know what's coming at you, I find him so interesting and love his mind boggling perceptions of things.the poem and surroundings represents a prison but where everyone can see you but you can't see them, thus their color of clothing etc..then at the end his in white so his set free..his entire album is great.

In my, of course, unbiased opinion this is the best debute among the guys, and that is saying something given how much I truly love Indigo and Jack in the Box. People were floored when they saw JHope's More. It was surprising in a way but also so on brand for JHope. Jimin, well. He has been painted as this polite, funny, and charming guy and I believe those are all true, but he has a soul of an artist. People are thrown off by the auto-tune which is used as an effect to show his inner dialog and opinions from others that have caged him. His response to these things is his singing/rapping voice in a register many have not experienced. I can't think of many that have taken so much hatred. It is now his time to shine and be fully and authentically himself. I am so excited for the album and his live performance on Jimmy Fallon's show.

The video appears to haven been filmed inside a panopticon prison - where prisoners were watched 24/7 without relief
Jimin sings "set me free" 9 times in each chorus. 9 usually represents fulfilment (e.g. of a cycle) and symbolises awakening and inner wisdom gained through life experiences and struggles.
The dancers' spiral is the Fibonacci spiral. It is found throughout nature and, put simply, represents our ever evolving journey in life.

There are several live performances but I don't know if it's safe to react to them on YT, There is a dance practice on BangtanTV, and a cool part of it is that you can REALLY see the dancers & Jimin's movements, even better than the MV. When this video came out, I could hardly contain my shout when he appeared after the blackout with the tattoos' (BTS has kept pretty covered up over the years, so it was pretty shocking at the time!) I think most fans were gobsmacked when this came out so you are among friends 💜 I agree that they keep coming up with fresh, creative music and performances.
