It’s not Rugby mate, it called Aussie Rules, they play on a round field & have 4 quarters to a game as opposed to rugby union & rugby league (which have 2 40ish mins half’s) there is a lot of difference between the 3 codes (although Union & League are similar)

It actually traces its origin to Gaelic football, which was basically soccer but you can pick up the ball to kick it (tackling was allowed)
