Great job everyone. In case helpful to know, I switch on the auto-translate captions when watching Maison Fauve tutorials. It’s not perfect but not bad. 😊

Ooh, I think Rachel looks fab with the blouse worn unbuttoned! I love the Mod swing shape of Ruan's blouse, the vibrant print and open back are gorgeous. Tamlyn's blouse looks like it will be so breezy to wear on hot summer days, such a pretty cotton. Great review of all the patterns as well, thank you ladies!

Hello, I love it when you do a joint project, firstly Ryan’s was beautiful! I would love to make that with a plain back, although your version was very sexy and the fabric was gorgeous ❤. Tamlyn, I agree a smaller size would be perfect and then I think the cuff waistband would look great; fabulous fabric ❤ Rachel, I love your idea to style it differently, such a shame the sleeve was too small and there was so too much fabric that reduced at the hip. However gorgeous fabric and will look so cute tied at the waist. Thank you for another collaboration, great job ❤xx

Hi Rachel . I made the Phen blouse when it first came out. I too fell for the styling imagery but on me just no. I now wear it just like you suggest, sleeves rolled up and unbuttoned over a vest top 🙈. However, as far as construction, I feel it's one of my most proudest makes as it was firsts for a lot of techniques ☺️

Interesting and informative video. The fabric colors are spot on for each of (especially Tamalyn) the patterns were a bit off to me. All 3 had a bit too much ease. But it was fun watching & learning & seeing how you guys react to challenges along the way. ❤

Well done ladies, three lovely blouses. My favourite is Tamlyn's ,that fabric is so beautiful! It looks great on you but I can see why you want a small. I have recently started putting the pattern on my manaquin first because I have narrow shoulders and all patterns are different. I usually have to start at size 16 grade to 18 bust and 20/22 hip. Oversize styles can be vastly different cant they. The pink fabric looks great on Ruan and the style looks great. I agree with Rachael about the style of hers. Its a strange shape but wearing it her way will make a big difference. Thanks ladies for great content as usual. xx

What gorgeous fabric you all chose. I’ve made the Mia in a cotton lawn and it definitely looks better in a more drapey fabric. It’s great to try new shapes but the problem with sewing them up is that you don’t always know what you are getting until you are finished. That’s why it’s so useful when sellers make up garments for us to try on. Rachel’s looks lovely worn open, which makes me wonder if a more over-size version would look better. Thanks for your honesty - it helps to know that other people end up a bit “meh” about some of their makes but that things can be done to make them better. This is a lovely challenge which pushed me into making more blouses last year.

Great video as always - all the fabrics are gorgeous and you've picked some really interesting patterns. I think you've done a really good job and produced some stunning blouses but it's such a shame about the sizing issues - I hope you're still happy with them regardless xx

If I was going to make one it would be Ruan's. I love the shape, the sleeves, the neckline, the lack of buttons and the low back. Maybe one for next year's challenge. Dee and I both made a couple of sagebrushes for the first time. We both loved making them. 🤩🤩

Hello ladies! I adore the fabrics you chose, but I have mixed feelings about the patterns. All 3, while designed as relaxed fit, seem too big. Perhaps it's just seeing them on the video that's giving that feel. Tamlyn, I think if you were to shorten the bodice a bit but then keep the band, it would highlight your small waist and get rid of some of the excess fabric above the band. Rachel's expression in the first photo clearly expresses her feelings about her blouse. 🙂. Thanks so much for these videos, especially your honest opinions about the fit of your pattern choices. I learn a lot.

I think Ryan's house works really well. It is fitted nicely over the busy, before flowering over the hips.

Beautiful fabric you all chose and they all look super. Tamlin I loved the way you wore the blouse the first time with your figure it looked great & with shorts-great idea. Rachel, your thoughts on the pattern you chose was really helpful & it looks lovely. Out of the three blouses, for me, I would probably choose Ruan’s lovely design. Great video, thank you.❤

Ruan your blouse is stunning. The fabric is beautiful and the scoop back and neckline are perfect.Personally I love the length. Tamlyn your fabric is gorgeous, the colour and print are fab.I like the elasticated hem left down as I think the back falls better this way. Rachel the print on your fabric is lovely and the colours beautiful.I think if you opened the neckline by not buttoning it up so high it would look better. However it looks amazing left open.If you make another one you could change the design to suit you by widening the hip area.

Love all your makes. They are so lovely, and the fabric choices were just.. *chefs kiss .. gorgeous. I really appreciate that you all took some chances, too, in making new to you patterns/ pattern companies. Very inspiring! I took part in the challenge, too. I made the Vivian Shao Chen Nephaline blouse for myself and a front tie top (no pattern) for my sister.

Having made 3 Phen shirts, the first one 2 years ago and at that time still very inexperienced in shirt sewing, I have to rush to its defense. Yes, there are a lot of steps, I still question my sanity when I decide to make another one, my main issue is, that the collar stand ( always have made version C) and cuffs are quite small and curvy and fiddly. Collar instructions for C version are in steps 32, 34-37 and 44-47. Collar C states „cut one pair“ and one piece of interfacing. Hope this helps. Agree with the shortish sleeves, as they fit my arms , in any case have never knowingly worn a sleeve full length with buttoned cuff, always rolled up. I wear my shirts tucked in at the front and outside on the back, adds to leg length at the front. ❤️🤗Imke

I want to make a blouse for my granddaughter to go with a high waisted skirt. Sort of a dirndl style with a flat waistband. Any ideas for a blouse pattern that would look great with that? She is 16.

I think it is unacceptable for pattern instructions to not be very clear. I don't care whether it is s beginners' pattern or if it is for more advanced sewers. I'm not paying when my cash to fund it in expected to do half the work of the pattern company.
