Thank you for doing such a memorable cover of this powerful song. It is rare nowadays to find such a well written and substantive song, inspiring the masses to fight for their rights. The modern pop scene, unfortunately, is littered mostly with self-absorption, preoccupation with sex/romance, and the idolization of materialism. Music that offers serious social commentary, and is also well written from a melodic standpoint, the way this Chapman classic is written, is an endangered species in today's top 40. I can think of no better time for us to resurrect Chapman's call to arms than now, with so much social upheaval, political unrest, cynicism concerning world governments, and the increasing disenfranchisement of the poor and working classes. Your rendition, where so many voices - regardless of race, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, education, or economic status - are singing in unison against those in power perfectly symbolizes the ethos behind Chapman's revolutionary song. Keep up the revolution with the power of your voices!
