It almost looks like it did, in the Autumn of 1980, about 6 months after it began to be open. That's before they moved the cows, which had been left around the back. I remember when the land was a farm, about 1977, before we moved to Centreville. I actually thought I would never leave the area, but the population exploded, from 1983-2014, when we finally left. I did so much shopping over those years, and it was packed, even on weekdays. My favorite stores kept closing, our children grew up, and I went less, and less. Kind of bittersweet. I saw that Landmark was empty, and Springfield Mall wasn't doing well, either.
