- Woohoo I'm finally back with another short animatic everyone!! College has been keeping me busy, but once this banger of a pilot dropped, I was too obsessed NOT to make something for this show! I know this is slightly out of character for Jax and Pomni, but I thought this audio would be really funny to use with these two! Especially because Jax is canonically the youngest and Pomni is 3 years older than him! I had a lot of fun with this little project, I hope you guys like it!! 😁
(Plus poor Pomni deserves some joy in her life so drawing her laughing and teasing Jax was sm fun!)

I love how in the actual pilot, Pomni is (understandably) never shown truly happy, yet here she's laughing nonstop. Just a minor departure from her character.
I wonder what will be the second episode.
Will there be a time skip, or will it take place right after the pilot?

I believe that after being under pressure for years, eventually you will get used to it, that is, if there is an episode that happens years later, perhaps the pomni was more "calm"
I think we'll see more of Pomni's personality show in the next episodes, she just spawned in such a chaotic environment so naturally she's going to be doing nothing but freaking out in the pilot
Jax saying “we’ve been here for years”, and him being only 22 makes you wonder how long has each one of them been in the digital circus. Was it ever confirmed who had the least time in there besides Pomni?

22 could be the age he entered. Everyone probably doesn’t age and is frozen in time
According to Gooseworx on Tumblr, Zooble was the most recent addition to the circus before Pomni. We also know that, thanks to GlitchX 2023, Jax chose his own name and came up with Gangle's name, indicating that he was in the circus before Pomni, Zooble and Gangle. Gooseworx also confirmed that Ragatha was in the circus for the second longest next to Kinger, so now we have the order of arrivals: Kinger, Ragatha, Jax, Gangle, Zooble, and Pomni. Jax is, surprisingly, one of the earlier arrivals, which seems to suggest that he arrived as (probably) a teenager or barely-legal adult. Heck, maybe even an adolescent if we REALLY want to make the circus even more messed up.
@@timeless9534 they actually dont age in the digital circus because they cant die. not of old age, sickness or injuries etc. so jax probably entered when he was 22 and stayed that way for the whole time. but thanks for confirming the order of arrivals tho. rlly helpful.

This just gave a sudden burst of excitement for the future of the show. Consider this, despite, in the beginning, Pomni being the most psychologically disturbed by her new life within TADC. She is dressed as a jester, and unlike a clown who pokes fun at themselves, a jester pokes fun at others.
So imagine later in the series, after slowly adapting to all the craziness of TADC, Pomni learns to turn Jax's jokes inside-out and suddenly SHE'S the one, driving HIM insane 🤭😏😈🃏
I love this idea. I love it. The thought of Jax having his own jokes turned on him by Pomni gives me LIFE.

After seening episode 2, Im actually hoping Pomni starts becoming happy and makes the other members more bareable with their situation and eachother as individuals, while simultaneously giving Jax a run for his Money.

I’m so glad to see a happy Pomni rather than a traumatized Pomni! Honestly, given that Ragatha said “They all went through what Pomni’s going through” at the beginning, I’d like to imagine that after a while, Pomni gets more used to it, befriends the others, and actually ends up having some fun (and I imagine this animatic taking place after Pomni gets used to everything). It’s a much better thought and outcome than her going insane and abstracting like Kaufmo! :)
Edit: After watching episode 2 when it came out, it looks like this may just actually be the case! Yay! :D

The facial expressions of madness and pure joy on pomni's face fells lore accurate for some reason; even though she never smiled with joy in the pilot.

I've watched this no less than ten times throughout the day today, it just keeps bringing me joy. I adore the expressions and I love the idea of Pomni getting Jax flustered like that. She really does deserve to have herself a little cackle after such a stressful pilot, and Jax deserves to get his ass kicked emotionally. Also its a extreme feat of expertise when a show comes out 2 weeks ago and an artist is able to capture not only the art style of it, but reap every last bit of expression out of each character to the point where emotions that where never seen by the viewers (talking about pomni being happy here) still feel natural and fun. Like, just going off the animation, this feels like it was an official storyboard for the next episode that was leaked. Bloody good job
