The best Congolese Music was between the 1970s and 1990s(1999) when music was music, written, composed and sang with so much passion and love. Congolese music is now diluted because it has become too much Commercialised where all the musicians place money before music. There is also too much noise and shouting by the atalakus in today's music. The dancing is also boring in today's music. This is also the same with RnB and Soul music by African- Americans in the USA.
Mbilia Bell,Africas angel on the stage with Tabu Ley. May Tabu Ley Rochereau Rest in perfect peace. I cant have enough of " Sarah " by Tabu Ley since 1984 - my young and adventurous days.
Growing up with this genre of music can not be overstated. Childhood had meaning given UTNA and the National Radio KBC/VOK was the source of education, information and entertainment

The song is Iyolela... (ua-cam.com/video/4HI4cBIEGLw/v-deo.html) As you will note from some comments here, the original singer seems not to be Mbilia Bel as widely believed
Its called Ma Fille sang by Pompon Kuleta, now would you be knowing the name of the song sang by the lady @ 1:02:42, just like you I've heard it a lot but never get to know the name..
Thanks for the info. I'm sorry unfortunately I don't know the name of that song either and you're right it's also a "one of those". Will keep a look out though.
Thanks, after much searching the song @ 1:02:42 is called Yolela sang by Baniel Mbombo. Had known her for the albums she recorded with T.P OK Jazz in the late 80s along with another lady singer Nana Akumu.
