ive been having a lot of fun with the grapple sword combo. besides making boarding a lot more consistent the grapple actually has a lot of big brain plays. You can pull players off of sails while swimming behind the ship, you can pull them off of ladders. And it has some kind of friendly behavior system where when you grapple a crewmate its a little more lenient and pulls your friend onto the boat, whereas if you grappled an enemy it just drops them off into the water

Oh yeah, that made my brain hurt. Also what would you recommend for a boat set, I don’t wanna use the basic guardian stuff but I get what you mean. Oh and I will test out the loadout, to me though that sounds awful on paper but I will see
@@Capt_Roach I get that you don't like the basic guardian set. 🤔 You are a golden skeleton, why aren't ypu using a golden (or yellow) shipset then? And regarding the blowpipe, I agree it needs practise and there are better choices. But 1 explosive dart does 40 damage + it sets enemies on fire + it does AOE damage so you don't have to hit your enemy directly. The darts need 4 - 5 seconds to explode BUT any damage (blunderbomb, firebomb (even in water) and the sword for example) are an easy way to set the explosives off early. Meaning 2 darts and 1 blunderbomb or 1 sword strike is a kill
You should try more weird combos. Maybe blow darts next time for the fun of it? Ran into your buddy Brenda the other day, told him you guys need to stream again!

Yeah I haven’t play with Brenda in a long time because I haven’t been streaming because of college but good news. My next semester I get a schedule that allows me to be on a lot more so streams will return either late December or after December
It’s really up to you but with the recent blunder nerfs I would recommend sword sniper for both pve and PvP but if you wanna do double gun in PvP then do pistol and sniper.

@@Capt_Roach I'm actually down for this vid; it would be super entertaining. It's a terrible strat but I want to see you try it. My prediction is that it won't work unless the opponent is bad. And when they aren't bad you're going to have to abandon it entirely and just fight like normal.
How the hell do you block and sword lunge at the exact same time? I saw you winding up for the lunge and the guy hit you but it registered as a block... Is that random luck? Is the game suppose to do that? I've never seen that happen before...

It's a new glitch. If you hold block, hit sword lunge, and tap crouch the second your sword moves, you'll lunge while also blocking.
