Thanks for posting the video, I liked how you showed closeups of the connections and repositioned the camera to see everything clearly, it made it very easy to follow along. My aunt has the same issue with her Roku tv and I'm gonna try to fix it for her.
So how many hours did this take?? I have a LG TV and half of the screen went dark, it's not completely dark, I can still see the picture it's just darker than the other side. I'm assuming the bulb/LED strip on that side of the TV burnt up so I'm thinking of doing this.
So, my tv just turned dark today, and I gotta use my flashlight to see the screen. Sometimes, when i unplug and plug back my tv, I see the screen for a second, and it goes dark again. I just want to make sure the backlight went off before I open the tv up. Do you think this might be caused by something else?

Good luck! I'm glad you found it helpful, thank you.
Thank you so much. Same tv, same problem. ❤

About 2-4 hours. Everything takes longer though when you're recording to share with UA-cam.
You are a braver man than I -300$ :(
Ha ha! Thanks for watching

Sounds like just the back lights, but I'm not an expert
Damn… this seems like so much work that it’s just easier to buy a newer one
Ha ha, definitely! But heck for $50 bucks and an afternoon.... I'm a tinkerer so it's enjoyable to me.
@@fordtechchris yeah I’m pretty envious of those good with their hands.. trades are valuable. Might be worth a try..
