so then when TF12 says something innocent like 'I wonder if the T8 can do breakbeat' and ofc my brain is like 'I TOO HAVE BEEN WONDERING THIS'...and then goes on a pattern creating frenzy... this is what happens.
As it turns out it's actually quite good for it too - you only have the one snare sound so you can't really do beat-juggling with different pitch/gated snares but you can push the sound around a little with the accent, and adding a bit of overdrive to the snare seems to accentuate that.
I wasn't really planning to go back to this track but I'd just bitten the bullet and cut the power cord on the (OEM) ac adaptor for the Kaoss pad since i couldn't find a replacement plug (#fml) and so had got it working in the van on 12v...and then happened to end up on that session again on the 505, and ...well this happened.
I guess Shitmat got to do like 30 different remixes of babylon boy so perhaps I'm ok to do two of this epic track ;)
