Great shave. Because I’m a huge fan of lime scents, maybe the new TOBS Lime Zest cream might be for me. I’m also a huge lemon scent shiller which could also help make the case
Just listened to your episode of The Opinionated Brit podcast and it was great! I never knew that you did voiceovers too. Shows you once again, great minds and great shavers think alike. Cheers!
HEYO KEVY !!! Another excellent shave, TOBS to say one of the best shaving creams for me, the super psychedelic brush, I like it, the safety razor has a somewhat special angle you have to lift it slightly more to do its job. 💪🏻⚔️💯👍🏻
Thanks for trying AS-D2. I am swapping it with Merkur Futur and Futur mostly rules on 4/2/1 aggressions. Absolutely perfect BBS. As i was amazed with ASD2 from beginning, i started realise that i cannot get close shave with it as with Futur and i can hear you have the same problem even when you are using it correctly. - shaving with many extra passes and its still getting more even with Feather Blade. Strange. I hope i will master this razor, because its really beautiful and i bought it to use it for all of my life.
@@kevyshaves4109 you're right, i tried to not to switch and use just AS-D2 with feather blade and it needs very different technique - VERY short moves and even bigger angle than 45 degrees, but sooner or later i made it to shave myself absolutely perfectly with it. The most difficult things about the razor in my opinion are 1) do not use force, the temptation is VERY high, with force i had STRONG razor burn and not perfectly shaved face 2) AS-D2 has VERY small angle range where it works, there is need for a lot of shaves to train to use that, but in the end, its good razor with almost no chance to cut yourself.
Hi Kevy- Great shave and razor/soap reviews; thank you! Nice-looking stainless steel razor; the scent of the TOBS shaving cream sounds great! I hope you are having a great week. Take good care and be safe and be well. Best regards, as always, Kevy!
Morning Kevy. I love the scent of lime, have several soaps with lime in them. Nice looking razor. It's easy to cut yourself thinking you have to press more with a mild razor. You always have to keep in mind the equipment that you are using. I change razors every day from SS, very heavy to aluminum very light. I always have to remind myself. Nice shave and some good tips. Have a nice day hope the the weather is ok.
I nowadays use alum as my only post shave. It gives a great finish to the shave. Though I am thinking of adding a witch hazel aftershave balm. Sometimes I just use an antiseptic liquid to releive the post shave irritation.
Lime that sounds nice I think I might like that.l tried a lime soap sold by Edwin Jagger and really liked the scent. Many Thanks for your time making this video
I have always admired the AS-D2. It is a beautifully designed razor; albeit very expensive. I saw an AS-D2 set, with a black handle, and matching razor stand. It was a pretty penny to be sure. The angle for using this razor is exactly like my iKon SBS. I say shallow instead of steep. The other difference is the SBS is very efficient, and dual edged (open comb & safety bar). The ironic thing is...the safety bar is more aggressive than the open comb side! But I digress. The scent of the ToBS sounds relaxing, and summery. This may sound odd, but I could swear that you own a bottle of Trumper's West Indian Limes skin food. Just wait till you try Lime Street, by Local Gent. It is pure, natural lime. I just hope it doesn't irritate your skin with the citrus oil. All in all, a wonderful episode. The feedback you're receiving proves that the public in general are now hunting these new scents. It seems apparent that ToBS' headquarters is being inundated with inquiries because they saw Kevy use it. I'd say ToBS owes you a commission, as well as Italian Barber. Thanks for posting, mate! Enjoy the rest of the week, and by all means touch nothing, or anyone will this modern-day plague subsides. My kind regards to your Mrs. and Senor Riley.
Funny you say that, my Ikon razor is thecsame, the straight bar feels more efficient on the skin than the open comb. A commision from TOBS would be nice! 😂
I thought the scent might be similar to TOBS lemon and lime but clearly not given kevy doesnt like it! Haha i quite like the lemon and lime (smells like lemon cheesecake- have to stop myself from eating it!)
Nice shave Kevy. My first thought when I saw the brush handle, was I thought of Plasticine. Basically when all the different colours were squashed into a lump (maybe it's just my warped imagination 🤔 )
I really need to get my hands on one of their soaps. Even better I need to visit their shop now we’re coming out the other end of our lockdown. Kevy’s Bubblegum for the brush name. You should run a competition to win one and name the brush.
The AS-D2 is a beautiful razor but too mild and too expensive. For a fraction of the price you can get an all-steel RazoRock game changer with a more aggressive blade gap.
Nicely done Kevy💈💈 "It's a mild razor but has a sharp blade in there" Hahahaha...good one🤣 You said you didn't have any lime soaps, I thought you had Castle Forbes Lime🤔, if not, why not? It's Scottish😎 Aqua Velva 5 in 1 balm is the real deal IMO, great post shave product👌 Brush name; Disco or Lollypop!? Thanks for the review of TOBS new Lime Zest cream, it's on my SAD list😊 Stay safe, live well.....Enjoy!
Hello, Kevy again a nice review of a beautiful razor, Sir, can you please tell whether this razor is better than the EJ 316 or the EJ 316 is better and value for money.
Captains Choice do a nice Lime soap. Also, Goodfellas Smile do a Royal Lime that's supposed to be very good. Here's a good thread for you with some to consider... theshavingcadre.com/threads/favorite-lime-shaving-soap.5127/ Kevy 😃
Kevy, don’t take this as a criticism, it's the furthest thing from. But why not shake it up a bit with the videos? Yes we enjoy your company in having a shave, but you have done a lot of that. For most of us, I daresay, the shaving is secondary - we are here because we dig YOU, and want to share in a bit of your life as you deem fit to share. I love it when you walk with us in the park, spend time with the pooch, and partake a bit of a journey into some awesome aspects of Scottish customs and culture and stories that your followers here stateside would delight to follow you in. What do you say, let’s make this bigger than just a great shave!
Very nice shave sir. Two new TOBS creams! Time to start making some purchases.
You did it again Kevy. Nice shave buddy. Cheers.👍
As always love your video. I believe most guys consider riding the Top Cap as shallow and riding the guard as Steep

The AS-D2 is very mild and it takes a bit of work to get a really close shave using it if you have thick coarse stubble. Kevy 👍

Lovey shave as always. My favourite razor at the moment is the Feather AS-D2. Mild razor + aggressive blade is the best combo for my skin. Love it.

That sounds like a nice cream, I think I'll try it when it comes in stock in the U.S.
Awesome shave my friend! 💈😉🤙🏼💈

Great shave Kevy and think I’ll need to try that TOBS to go with my TrueFiit & Hill West Indian Lime aftershave and balm.
Great shave. Can't wait to try that lime scent. Stay safe.

Nice review of the TOBS Lime Zest and Feather razor, Kevy!
Another great shave sir, cream looks very nice and cool looking razor.
Thanks

Lol 😂
Same thing happens to me with feather. No matter what razor I put in it mild or not s/s or pot metal I always get "red dots"
Nice shave and that Lime Zest sounds like something that I would enjoy
Nice shave Kevy.
My first thought when I saw the brush handle, was I thought of Plasticine. Basically when all the different colours were squashed into a lump (maybe it's just my warped imagination 🤔 )
No, I can see where you're coming from 👍
Another great video. Well done. Thanks and take care.
Great shave kevy.good to see new products from TOBS .wonder if they'll bring out products to compliment the creams ? Cheers buddy.stay safe .
Col.
They usually do bring out the whole range Col 👍

I love seeing a new TOBS cream! It's not on their website though Kevy. Is it still waiting to be released?
Its available now. I called them and ordered them that way. I dont know why they don't have it on their website yet. Kevy 👍
Great shave Kevy! I have a weakness for all things lime lol, I absolutely love citrus scents. Have an awesome week Mate!
Went to Buddies myself but preferred the coconut grove. Mine you im just a young thing lol
The Grove was a great nightclub as well. Kevy 👍
Kevy Shaves Nice for the ladies 😉
I love that psychedelic brush handle. Greetings from Trenton, North Carolina, USA. Great video content.
Thank you Harvey 👍
I wonder if you mixed a little of the new tobacco with the lime zest if it would smell good.
🤔

Can i suggest using Barr's Limeade as your pre/post??

I wonder if there was a vote how could TOBS cream not win, second place Truefitt and Hill 1805 I reckon
Nice video Kevy!
Cheers Samuel 👍
Landline here in Denmark was made expensive to make people switch to mobile
Everything has a pink tone to it today Kevy, did you notice that? In the beginning at least.
Im always in the Pink 😂 I think its time for a replacement video camera..👍
@@kevyshaves4109 hahaha
How's lock down going in 🏴Scotland Kevy? Do you work?
I'm waiting a dog bowl collapsible from Aliexpress. Should be here very soon, in 2030.
Nice shave with some nice products :)
feather es unas de las mejores maquinillas y las cuchillas mui buena 👍
Hi Kevy if you say mild do you mean like merkur 34c mild ?
Yes. Maybe a little milder than that. 👍
Hello, Kevy again a nice review of a beautiful razor, Sir, can you please tell whether this razor is better than the EJ 316 or the EJ 316 is better and value for money.
The 3ONE6 is netter balue for money in my opinion. Kevy 👍
Great video as always. How does the Feather compare to the Rockwell 6s. Is it equal to plate 1, 2 or 3, or is it more aggressive? Thanks.
I think it would be around plate 3. Maybe just a little below it...2.75 😂👍
Nice shave show kevy
Cheers Richard 👍
But can i ask you if you know where to find the razor without a hand
I'm sorry, I don't understand your question. Kevy 👍
I'm looking for a STRONG LIME scent. Does anybody have any recommendations? Needs 2b STRONG Lime tho

What is the latitude and longitude of your source of Cold Scottish Water? Could you send me a bottle?
Unfortunately Scottish water can't be imported due to its pureness of pure water content. 😉😂👍
Sounds like a refreshing scent.
Thinks kevy, very nice, I have feather popular safety razors this is brand excellent, feather Great
I still have a land line because my work requires me to have one
I still have one too. I like vintage things 😂👍
I name that brush Miami Vice. May God bless it and all who shave with it. 😂
Come on kevy, i found that everywhere which are lime zest and tobacco leaf. We’ll see..
You might want to try a Gillette Nacet into the Feather ASD2 next time Mr Scottish Old Fart 💨
