To compose and sing music of this sophistication at 22 is strictly amazing.
believe she was only 21 here 🤭
She owns my attention whenever she's performing. I can't look away, I can't stand interruptions. She is so rare, and it's a shame that the world is so infatuated with overproduced pop ditties when raw purity and passion like this exists.
please check out my band wolf alice on you tube or band camp. im no laura marling but still
it's like Leonard Cohen's Famous Blue Raincoat... GENIUS!
She sounds better live than than recording. Amazing musician and singer
"It's four in the morning the end of December, I'm writing you now just to see if you're better" anyone?
A few years too late, but yeah. Famous Blue Raincoat! I get why you for reminded of those lines!
Laura Marling really is the Leonard Cohen of this era
shit! how fucking beautiful her voice is, I cant take it, I'm so jealous! I literally became dizzy, wtf is wrong with me!?
Simply stunning...
My heart melts whenever I hear Laura sing
One of my favorite Laura Marling songs, beautiful guitar work and singing, dark but not dark.
I just discovered Laura Marling yesterday and this song has already skyrocketed into my top 15 favorite songs of all time. So good.
i just discovered this now
On repeat for 5 hours, and still not bored.
exactly..:)! Laura and Leonard, two of the very best...
swept by the depth of lyrics bursting with emotions and sadness. Craving for more!
I love when an artist can sound even better live
Hauntingly beautiful melody
Thank you for giving so much of yourself, Laura.
She is incredible ❤
A lot of people are saying it sounds like Famous Blue Raincoat, but I think it's even more like "A Singer Must Die". The melodies the same, and it even contains the lyric "night after night". I think this is actually supposed to be a homage to that song, or to Leonard Cohen in general.
I love this song so much. It's beautiful.
very leonard cohen love it!!! haunting yet beautiful!!!!
this is my favorite song of hers! Why does it only have such few clicks?!
blows my mind. she is as good as art gets.

What an amazing voice
Should have millions of views
Best song on her third album, that I've had the pleasure of listening to in it's entirety :)
100% Angel.
Wow! Beautiful and emotionally moving!
It's six in the evening, the rain's pishing down,

And how is this woman not famous yet???
Ha! 50 000 viewer!!! thats how many times I ve listened to this song... Beautiful.
She is a great great artist !
SUPER HEAVY .LOVE IT.
Wow, that was great!
i adore this song, but i can't help but notice that the microphone is astoundingly round.
A little slice of genius pie.
This song has a strong Leonard Cohen feel to it, I find. I like it very much. Laura Marling is an impressive singer-songwriter, and I suspect she'll only get better with age and experience.
Talent!
22 people are crazy
Such a mature talent for a such a young girl.
amazing
sudden bursts of light, it's a fate foretold
goosebumps
beautiful woman, beautiful song. x
there is no benchmark for how many people are supposed to know about talent.
love
oh. my. god. this. is....*cry*...
New York is cold, but I like where I'm living.
i want her to come to germany so bad!! D:
@StrangestLifeKnown I agree ! I love dallas Green! It brings so many memories!
Wow.
2:37 ...wow.
You are my 'keeper', my innocence 'speaker' lol
Leonard Cohen "Famous Blue Raincoat"
Great to play on guitar. Wish i could sing at all nevermind on this level.
@lesze I am very glad I am not the only one who thought "famous blue raincoat" when first hearing this song. It's close to enough to the song to know she is heavily influenced by Leonard, but different enough to still make it her own.
the tuning is DADFAD, capo wherever it fits you. You can find the picking on ultimate guitar
reminds me of leonard cohen's famous blue raincoat.
@iWantAHelicopter 'A creature i don't know' is the name of the album. The video you are talking about was advertising the album whilst playing this song 'night after night'. This is the full version of the song. Hope that helps
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
So nice. I hear Nick Drake in there as well. Bob Dylan never apologised for singing like Woody Guthrie. Nor should he have.
Just discovering this artist...she is amazing but I definitely think she is better and meant to sing slow paced music...much more touching and deep where u can really appreciate her voice
Yeah... was almost expecting a "Sincerely, L. Marling" at the end.
(see what I did there?)
@BlueNeko1 yeah youre right!!
je meurs I'm so lucky she is playing in my city soon
Dear lover forsaken
Ah, got it. Had a run-in with a guy who insisted on half of Laura's songs being covers. I thought it happened again. = )
hahaha i like your style!
MOLTO BENE!
knowing what it is that you'r told
I heard a voice from the mountains
@mccaughc2 a little slice? dude she's the whole fucking pie
leonard cohen is finaly proud
Open D Minor tuning I believe.
Excuse me while I pick my jaw off the floor.....
Famous Blue Raincoat?
Yes, definitely.
I am pleased to hear someone else say that, about Famous Blue Raincoat. I thought it was just me! She is absolutely brilliant! Better than Leonard Cohen! And not half as bloody maudlin and miserable. xxx.
Christopher Brookfield not better that Cohen. Cohen is something different.
@JustForEntertainment
^^Exactly!!! Me too! hahaha
Laura Marling is famous... not famous like Rihanna, but nobody would like her to be that famous, not even Laura herself.
she is like exactly how city and colour makes me feel, but obvioulsy in like a dif. kind of music and female.l0l:)
I love both Laura and QT and no, this is definitely not a Tarantino stuff.
So, can I just marry her voice or...?
Es para una pelicula tipo Amores perros o Babel. Iñartu le tiene q poner el ojo!
@Ljubiification Yeah, I totally see that.
