- April 23 2024 - Game #2 of the Vancouver Canucks vs the Nashville Predators at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. For games 1&2 the Canucks brought back their iconic intro using the classic U2 Song “where the streets have no name”. As a longtime Canuck fan this was amazing to see in person as Vancouver returned to the Stanley Cup Playoffs after a 9 year absence and using this intro package gave many fans goosebumps and reminded us of the 2011 season and the run up to the Stanley Cup finals vs the Boston Bruins. If you’re a fan of hockey please enjoy this video!

I remmeber crying game 1 when they brought this back, It was so emotional... now we gotta wait again until next year and its not even a gurantee...
It's pretty much guaranteed. They have a great team that will probably be even stronger after this playoffs lesson
Incredibly nostalgic of glory days of Canada. 2011 was fresh right after the Olympics and we were stronger than ever as a nation. Cheers.
This series definitely taught me that nostalgia is the greatest uniter in a group of people. Whether it be friends or fans. What a great way to bring back the feels and passion in people. Thank you Canucks for a great series.
So happy they bring back U2. This atmosphere gives me chills everytime! 🎉
For sure! It was amazing to feel the arena literally vibrating while the intro played out!
Where The Streets Have No Name is a perfect sound and feel to pump you up for a hockey game… they should keep this and not change it again
New PA announcer needs to keep it simple like 2011 and just gently say "ladies and gentlemen, your Vancouver Canucks" and let the best part of the music intro play out
This is better imo.
Thank god U2 kept working away at this song back in 86 or 87. Apparently, they spent months working on it...more time than the rest of the album. "It was screwdriver work" - Brian Eno
Exceptionnel extrait de l’intro des Canucks de Vancouver!! L’atmosphère semblait être incroyable! 🎉🔊🇨🇦📸
Beautiful footage!!
Thanks...the video doesn't do it justice but I appreciate your comment!
Great decision to bring it back, and I love the Canucks goal song from The Breakfast Club movie.
Agreed! Both are pretty awesome parts of the experience this season!
@@freshpukesh Yep, I love it, as it helps the Canucks atmosphere from standing out from the rest with these 80s ballads.
Cool.
best intro in history of all sports. It's kinda pointless to say "Canucks nation, stand up" tho when everyone is already standing
Lame. 90s bulls was far greater than this weak sauce.
@@atlantisourceplayoff basketball is generally lame
@@davidfarr966 in any consideration the 90s bulls were not lame

End Nashville’s season, Nucks!
Game 1,2,3,4,5, or 6?
This was Game 2
J. T. MILLER! I think Al is the most underrated PA out of all NHL teams. He is the best IMO.
Why are we booing zadorov? I mean I understand it in case for Suuuuuter or Luuuuongo.. but Zadorov?
We weren’t booing lol we were shouting Z
It was a big “zeeeeeeeeee” cheer
How's a team called the Canucks gonna have zero Canadians on their starting lineup tho?
Canadian players play for American teams. You know, the ones that win every year.
As a long "suffering" Canucks fan I am pretty stoked with the team make up this year...and the line up for this game was not always the starters this season anyways...bonus was to see Noah Trulsen get in the line up for the game (he's from Surrey BC).
@@freshpukesh All good, just a mild rib is all. Video is great. Full disclosure: I'm on the other side of this particular rivalry in time. Let's Go Preds!
Because American teams get them for big bucks and Bettman makes sure they have first dibs...
No! Horrible! Running and Hiding is NOT the message you want to send!
