I agree with hard shells needing “over the helmet” hoods. An “over the helmet” hood on a soft shell is good for ventilated helmets to keep water and ice from getting through those vents while climbing. Probably not a lot of use for tactical application cuz they can be restricting and don’t usually fit over all the arc rail ear pro adapters, lights strobes battery packs, etc. Honestly, a windshirt with an under the helmet style hood worn under a cammie top has been my favorite set up for that kind of stuff. Super light and you don’t even notice it’s there.
As long as I’m working and moving around enough I stay pretty warm even when temps drop to zero with minimal layers. That wind will get you though if your clothes aren’t cutting it. I usually find myself shedding a layer or two when I get in the groove. Great video as always
I really do wish there were more outdoor technical jacket options without a “helmet-cut” hood on them. I’m relatively sure that an awful lot of waterproof jackets aren’t worn by people performing activities that would require a helmet. Sure they have the cinch down cords etc, but they’re still a bit of a pain.

Sigh, started watching, thought this looked cool, until I clicked the link and saw the price... oye
Ya I agree. $309 unfortunately isn’t too bad of a price these days.. but still too rich for my blood.
Does it sound like the audio is unbalanced to anyone else
