CC had 38.3 points generated per game, an all time WNBA record. The second most was Taurasi one season at 33.9. That's incredible, especially for a rookie. Between scoring and assists, she was responsible for 45% of the Fever's points. That's after coming off a long college season without much of a break. She's a tireless worker and says she has things she wants to work on in the off season, I can't wait to see what a rested, improved Caitlin Clark looks like next year.

Most these complaints are so petty. People saying she overshadows everyone else, etc, meanwhile ignoring that Jordan overshadowed all the talented players in his era. Gretzky overshadowed his era in hockey. Tiger in golf, Brady in football, etc. Every league has this problem - really good players are overshadowed by great players. That's life. People need to stop acting like it's somehow unique to Clark.

FOR me, I would have likely picked up on my interest for the Rest of the WNBA and would have likely tuned in on the rest of the playoffs--at least for a few minutes here and there, if not for the hate and racism and violence and mental attacks on Caitlin Clark. Had Caitlin been treated neutrally or unbiasedly, non-prejudice, I would be okay watching other players or teams. But due to my moral values, there is No Way No How I can support all the racism and hate towards Caitlin from The WNBA/Refs, NBA (they pay the WNBA), and most of the media (BSPN, ABC, Disney, etc), that is the reason. I feel many other CC fans would have also watched at least a little more of the other teams. The Fever WOULD have won their first series vs The Sun and from there maybe have even won the whole thing. But, The WNBA/Refs and the media mentioned above were not having any of it and instead resorted to hate, racism and prejudice, attacking Caitlin's greatness at every turn, which is why they ROBBED her of at least a CO-MVP, and they tried to rob her of the ROTY, too. Thanks for posting. I have followed the WNBA this season, not only to watch the basketball but to observe public reaction. Though I’m otherwise a casual fan of basketball (who enjoys the game itself but uninvested as far as particular teams or players), my sense is that Clark is the real deal, is not “overrated”. The pushback to (hostility toward) Clark has been pronounced among some WNBA platers and their fans. Some of it “I get” (seeing parallels in other fields and times), much I’m still processing, still other I’m going to withhold comment on here.
One thought: watching this video, the reference to Kareem immediately brought to mind A'ja Wilson. Kareem was great, no ifs, ands, or buts. (Rules were changed in reaction to his unprecedented play.) Yet, Kareem didn’t come across well in person (the way, say, Magic and Larry did, respectively, on and off court) and (like Wilson) didn’t do himself any favors with comments about his circumstances and reception.

Dunking does occur in the WNBA, for instance Britney Griner has dunked many times and dunked a lot in college. She didn't do this this year due to an ankle injury. But part of the lack of dunking can be blamed on high school and college coaches. My own high school in the mid 80's for two years had girls who were 6'6 and 6'4 girl who both dunked in a few games, but the coach didn't really want his players to dunk. The shorter of the two ended up playing for the Indiana Hoosiers in the early 90's and not once dunked in college.

I also happen to live in San Francisco. We have an expansion team The Valkyries that will be playing at the Chase Center here in SF same court as the Warriors . CC is a generational player like the W has NEVER experienced by her second or third year. I hope you’re right my friend. CC is going to need a Magic to compete with to really up the W game. Total Points Produced: 1,510.4 (OVER 1K POINTS ACHIEVED After 28 Games)❤
Total Points Produced as % of Total Team Points YTD: 44.44%❤
🌸NOTE: ASSISTS are PART of the Basketball SKILL SET & SHOULD BE INCLUDED when CALCULATING POINTS = TOTAL POINTS PRODUCED/ POINT AVERAGE. ASSISTS = 2.2 POINTS Per ASSIST❤
🌸MVP = MOST VALUABLE PLAYER NOT BEST but can be. Caitlin leads the league in TOTAL POINTS PRODUCED, which is the BEST metric that INDICATES the VALUE of a player to her TEAM.
🌸SINCE MID-JUNE, Caitlin & the Fever have been RANKED #1 OFFENSIVE team.
❤️Also, in stats for best player, which can be extended to MVP, is there any way to record the amount of blitzing Caitlin has had to endure this season, which also happens to be her ROOKIE season? How much Caitlin has grown in only 4 months, her ROOKIE season in the wnba, is nothing short of AMAZING. What is an even bigger WONDER is how much, through Caitlin's influence, the Fever Team has IMPROVED!❤
🌸One more thing to consider for MVP, why is Caitlin #1 on the scouting reports and NOT A'ja? Hmmmmm
🌸NOTE: Caitlin & the Fever Team RELY SOLELY on their TALENT to WIN Games. The Aces Team, in CONTRAST, EMPLOY the HELP of BIASED OFFICIATING to WIN their games.😮
    Caitlin Clark is 2024 ROTY & TRUE 2024 MVP.❤
