He was the most amazing teacher and mentor I could have ever had. I owe so much of who I am today, to Mr. Loper.

Now this is the best interview I've seen so far, not JUST because of Loper's immense insight and knowledge, but because of his interviewer; she has done her research, one senses she already appreciates or has considered his work and what he has to say, yet she isn't trying to impose her personality or her knowledge into the space, she isn't making it seem like two friends sitting down for a chin-wag, she understands what this is, she asks her questions, opens up the conversation then listen, really listens. This is a dying art.

Thank you for this feature on Mr. Loper. I was able to present this video to my art students this morning for our last "Zoom"- distant learning Art class of the semester. Wonderful man, great artist, and inspirational to us all.

I am glad I was able to meet Edward before he died. Truly gracious and I loved meeting Janet whose paintings were also impressive. I hope she is well.

Great storyteller. This should be shown in schools to inspire youths to do better. It definitely was inspiring to me.

Phenomenal and important American artist. His paintings are gorgeous, especially his later work’s featuring “fractured realism”. Hard to believe he was not (is not) a household name on the American art scene. So much garbage art is pushed on the public and heralded as being so much more than it is. Edward Loper, Sr, is an American treasure. His works will live on forever.
