My daughter had an interview with Chrst college few days ago and was a sheer joke. The university even are not aware about the basics of holding online interview. Sorry to mention but Christ college need to upgrade their level of holding online presentation or interview. I had very positive image regarding Chris college but after the interview I feel they are no different from the rest. To much hype!!!
@@samjam_ yes definitely. She had online interview all the way sitting in China and trying to connect using VPN as there was no other way. At the time of interview there were some technical snag when the music teacher had asked her to sing with some tune he played on Piano. She could not understand if she was audible and felt there was something wrong but the teacher just kept asking her to continue. Fine, no issue.... She con tinued. Then she was asked if she had sent the recording to which my daughter was slightly taken back as how could someone ask such question, only if the person on the other end has no idea of what was recorded. All the entire time she felt as if she did not send what had been asked for? My daughter did her entire education in India with one year study in Malawi and finally her high school in China with both curriculum CAIE and IB. She was not offered english as first language still the school allowed her to take english as first language, provided she learns on her own. I am proud to say she did the entire A level english as first language all by her own. She could not get music as the school timetable could not adjust her subject combination. She has been doing music all alone using internet and has great passion for english and music. Last year she graduated high school by August and by then the admission were over in Christ College. She waited a year to try this year and just with few notes someone gets rejected...... I don't understand what is more important, ones passion for a subject or simply experience. Does education not believe the right to choice at any stage or age? I have been an educator for the last 22 years and duly believe in asking what makes the child feel he or she is interested in a particular choice. In her english interview she was asked questions related to english literature which she did not choose in high school, rather she has idea of english as language. Is that not something that qualifies the candidate to take up the course. We wanted Christ college becuz we came to know you were not like Delhi University whose cut off is 100% ...... WOW even a perfect score of 7 in IB or A * in A-level cannot be 100% using the conversion process. Being rejected is not hard to digest, because my daughter knows that a rejection simply does not limit her choice but definitely when someone is not given an opportunity to explain why she feels she is eligible for a course completely kills the purpose of personal interview. Personal interview should not be a process of simply asking few standard questions and making judgements rather it should be process of understanding the aptitude of a child and then deciding if he or she could cope. I feel if she had applied for sciences she would stand a better chance because the panel wants to know what you know not what you feel a passion for and how you cross hurdles to see your destination!! All foreign universities ask for a personal statement......why do you think they need such statement? Because it is this statement that gives an idea to the interviewer to shower their questions. This helps bith candidate and university understand if both are compatible and if the candidate can cope up the course . Anyways, as a father and as an international educator, we believe no system is not perfect and we could always work to a step closer to perfection!! My intentions were not to malign the image of the college, because we still believe it is better than many in the country and maybe my daughter needs to be more materialistic than living in her world of dreams ! ! Thanks for providing an opportunity. I see her ,being rejected, as a step directed to make her stronger.
I had my interview today and was scared , when I saw your video I got complete idea of questions they would ask and I prepared well, and I answered all the questions asked to me
Actually my questions micro presentation topic is they will give only subject oriented right but in this video they asked challenges facing in Covid ? So which topic they will ask exactly whether general one or subject oriented ?
In CUET you will get basic math, comp, eng and business related (such as graph, sales, pie charts etc). You don't have to worry about the difficulty level. Just focus on time management. For the interview, make sure you know how to answer basic questions and know your computer syllabus too. If you are not from computer background then kindly let your interviewer know that. As far for me... Interview was very smooth. The lady teacher asked few personal questions like: 1. Tell me about yourself 2. Why choose BCA? 3. Tell me what combination did you take for +1 and +2 And, syllabus questions like: 1. What is a list? (Python syllabus) 2. What is a database? (RDBMS syllabus) And for Micropresentation, I got the topic "Influence of IT industry over pharmaceutical industry" which is a very general and easy topic. And, the whole thing ended with her asking "Do you have any questions for us?" For which I highly suggest you to ask any question or doubt so that they get a good impression of you. All the best!!
@@vaibhawsiddharth they will ask subject oriented topics only suggest for micro presentation right bro ? Because they mentioned in website that micro p topic is subject oriented only like if I choose psycho logy then they will ask psy related na but for you they asked general one Covid challenges so how will they suggest topic exactly ?
@@rohitanand4455 about questions? U hve to be strong in Ur academics... Whatever u learnt in Ur previous semester they ask u questions..everyone will not be asked same questions related to academics..all the best
I applied for BCA in 1st round and got selected in central campus. So, here is my take on this: CUET is for 120 marks along with negative marking, MCQs for 2 hours and questions are based on subjects: computer science, mathematics, English, business related and current affairs (All Basic so don't worry difficulty level is moderate). But, you have to focus more on your interview, which is more crucial than the CUET. Here is my experience: The interview was very smooth. The lady teacher asked few personal questions like: 1.
