When you love JESUS CHRIST Obidience TURNS INTO FAITHFULNESS ... FAITHFULNESS and FIDELITY BECAUSE OF LOVE ... LOVE FOR OUR SAVIOR THE SON OF OUR HEAVENLY FATHER ...
FABULOUS MESSAGE ... IT FEEDS SOO MUCH .. Real DIFFERENCE between TRUE SHEPHERD and hireling ... The TRUE SHEPHERD HAS THE VOICE OF JESUS CHRIST ... HELPS us TO RENEW OUR MINDS ... HELPS us TO RECEIVE THE PIECE OF GOD the One which SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING in those moments when WE ARE PERSECUTED AND HATED LIKE JESUS TELLS US WE WILL because the world HATED HIM FIRST ... and NOT RUN AWAY, like the hireling who only wants to show himself blessed with "success of this world") .... WE NEED THE TRUE FEEDING OF JESUS CHRIST because IT WILL GET WORSE AND WORSE ...
in the old testament they were feed by the manna that came down from heaven and john 6 tells us we are now fed on the bread that comes down from heaven - the eucharist in the catholic church at mass - that is the true gospel
Hey friend: are you a member at a good healthy church where they preach the gospel like this? Because if so, I would hope that the pastors would be praying for you and meeting with you and helping you to grow. And if not, you really do need a church like this. But be encouraged friend: your Savior knew what the last 22 years would look like. He had all the days written down before they ever happened. And He knows what the next 22 will hold, and all eternity after that, with you. Keep following Him.
I agree with #Christopher Ashe with the additional - please allow the Holy Spirit to guide ur search. Mentors from afar - like John Piper! - have helped me and I commend such relationships to you. Finally, that you are aware of the struggle suggests that you are further along in this Christian journey than you realize. May the Lord bless you and keep you 🙏🏽
@@seanlaycat931 I was unaware of that. An argument could be made that because he was not a willing participant in the divorce, it does not apply to him. but as you say, this hasn't been Piper's view historically. Perhaps he changed his mind.
@@seanlaycat931 It's funny you mention martydom because near the end of this video Piper does say that he and Barnabas should accept martydom if it does come for them, so that seems solid. But regarding the divorce, I am perplexed as well. I think his ex was the divorcer, so maybe if he tried to keep the marriage together and she was determined to leave, he is absolved from the responsibility of that marriage? Regarding that - if someone cornered me and forced me to answer, I'm not sure I could say with a clean conscience that it matters who does the divorcing, but I do accept that because I don't know every intimate detail of their divorce, I could be willing to be convinced that he isn't at fault.
His clarification of loving Jesus causing obedience rather than saying love is obedience is so helpful.
John 14:15 TPT
I love and miss your sermons so much Dr. Piper.. good to see you in good health, may Our Lord Jesus always protect you and yours. Amen

The first thing that comes to my mind, and it’s far more than just this, is you need to very carefully search for and find a biblical church.

Wasn't barnabas divorced?
That’s what I was thinking! I’m not even sure what my opinion of that is, but I’m pretty sure I know what John’s is!
It seems as though he was.
If she divorced him and he didn't remarry, there is no problem. The qualification is "husband of one wife."
