I went Hokkaido last time and this time I’m going Hakuba instead. I can confidently say that the skiing in Japan is absolutely mind blowing, from the snow to the absolutely incredible views
This is honestly one of the best videos of Hakuba. Your voice, clips and the background music are so refreshing to watch. My boyfriend and I are coming to Hakuba next winter and I'm so glad I ran into your vlog. Thank you so much for this gem! Take care! ❤
Amazing video extremely underrated, going back this year for the ski season and I am so excited. Thank you for getting me even more pumped for my trip!! Also was wondering what you film with, amazing quality! Keep up the great content ❤
I'm going to Hakuba with my daughter and son in law, to take care of the baby while they ski 🙂. After watching your video i am now officially excited to go !! Thank you!! PS - I love coffee
You were lucky the 2023 season was solid! I have a house near here. Last year the snow was the pits, had to go home early one day just cuz it was too icy. Hope you come again!
Yeah, 2024 has just been on the hotter side unfortunately. Many Southern Hemisphere skifields used to peek into October, but this year they're all starting to shut (eg Mt Buller in Australia or Porters in New Zealand). Hopefully the coming December and 2025 season will be a bit better.
Hi. thank you so much for this video. We are thinking of visiting Hakuba but unsure about car rental. Can you please share more on the shuttle services? Thank you
@@JennyLie-i5d i suggest checking hakuba’s website (www.hakubavalley.com/en/ski_resort_info_en/) for the most updated shuttle bus timetable :) i basically took the bus or walked everywhere!
Thank you so much for this. I have plan on going to Hakuba on February 2024 as a solo traveler. I hope I meet good people there and to be my snowboard buddies. Nice vlog!
oooh exciting! we emailed rhythm to ask for this and they said it was free from our airbnb (i think this also depends where you are staying, so it's better to ask your airbnb/hotel first which rental place is recommended) :)
Great vlog thank you! I'm heading there this coming January - would you recommend renting a car to move around or are the shuttle bus routes enough to cover restaurants/onsens/cafes in the area?
excited for you!! i would definitely recommend renting a car - shuttle bus routes end really early at around 6pm and taxis there are very limited we ended up having to walk back 1 hour to our airbnb one day after dinner 😂
i went in feb! expenses we had were rentals (ski boots + skis, ski poles + helmet - prices vary so i recommend checking your ski rental website), hakuba valley 4-day lift pass (21500 yen), shuttle bus from narita- hakuba (21600 yen for a round trip) - hope this helps
i think it depends on your skill level for skiing and decide which slopes you plan on visiting first, then from there you’ll be able to decide on which kind of pass you need - i went with a seasonal 3-day pass, and purchased an extra single ticket for the night ski since that was excluded from the seasonal pass - this was quite convenient as it covered the bus fares etc but i still suggest checking hakuba’s website for the most recent deals for the upcoming ski season :)
Thank you so much for the correction! I had no idea at the time because people kept saying “1” when telling us where to go (probably because we were foreigners so that we can understand better 😅)~ But yes I had such an amazing time there!
Hi what date on february is this? I'm planning to go there around 16 feb and was wondering will nagano be snowy like in this video? I want to experience snowy town. 😅
it was quite westernised in my opinion! mainly foreigners working in all the ski rental/ski-related spots, but most restaurants/cafes are still mainly traditional :)
@@absentabroad Thanks for replying. Definitely after a more traditional experience. If you happen to know of any mountains where I could find that. Well edited video btw :)
@@thejackyjooj3861 Try Madarao Kogen or Nozawa Onsen if you want more traditional experience. Personally I like Nozawa Onsen more, it’s a huge resort and well developed but not too Westernise like Hakuba. Hakuba is known to be a winter suburb of Australia😂
@@keithchan6561 Yea, I've never been to Japan but from what I've gathered. Hukuba and Niseko would be like bali. Also all is well, I found a good mountain. Thank you

You could have rent ski equipment directly from Goryu (not sure if they have Rhythm there) and ski there for a longer time. LOL
