    what is the differences between "enclosure" and "approach"?

      An Approach Note is when we 'approach' a target note from the note below or from the note above, and an Enclosure is when we 'Surround' that target note with the notes below and above.
      Let's say we are playing over the C Major scale and our target note is E.
      To approach the target note from below we could play D and then E, and to approach it from above we would play F and then E.
      And an enclosure is when we surround the target note with the notes above and below, if the target note is E. We can enclose that note playing D, F and then E. Or the other way around we can play F, D and then E.
