I have one of these and a DR650 I just bought new. I love this simple little bike. Dropping from 50 teeth to 44 teeth on the rear sprocket makes the bike less revvy at speed and doesn't affect the lower end pull much, it's a really good mod to make.
I can confirm the 44 tooth makes a huge difference.. I have a DG pipe and opened the idle screw 1 full turn. Thing pulls to red line now and feels much much better..🎉
@@bondjames652 I recently dropped my rear sprocket to 42 teeth and it helped even more with road riding without really making much difference offroad. But again, I don't do serious heavy dirt bike single track stuff, but I don't know any TW200 owner who does.
I bought a new 2020 in May of 20. I ride to and from work here in Amarillo Texas, and off road quite a bit too. My city speeds seldom exceed 50 mph. Enjoyed your video!
Drop your rear sprocket from the stock 50 teeth to 44 teeth. Improved the top end by lowering the RPM's at speed without having much of an impact on the 1st gear pull. Also you will notice that you can run it up faster in 1st gear before you have to shift.
I could never imagine taking a TW200 down I-5 near seattle, you sir are brave. I live on Whidbey Island and get people riding my ass even doing 50 down back roads with blind corners and deer. its ridiculous lol.
Drop your rear sprocket from 50 teeth to 44 teeth, makes a big difference in top end while not having much impact on the lower end pull. Also you'll be able to run it up faster in 1st and 2nd before shifting.
As someone else who tries to commute on my TW in western Washington as much as possible, checking the weather the night before is crucial. My commute is about 13 miles with most of the roads being 50-55mph. I usually have a little more umph left but not much by the time I get up that speed. I’ve still yet to get the LED headlight, is it really that much of a difference?
Every dealer in my state is out of Tdubs. Can anyone give me a ballpark total if I ordered one from a dealer? Ive been wanting one for a while. I'm looking for used also but there is nothing within a 300 Mile radius atm. It's frustrating... Anyone?

Better than a bicycle.
Love the camera view. Thanks for sharing
thank you, any video recommendations are welcomed!
Sweet! I'm moving to Seattle area... Hopefully soon. (I'm also a TW owner!)
Hell ya!
@@maxthemarlin near Bremerton/Silverdale
@@therealrealshocker nice. I’m rarely over in that area but I know there’s plenty to ride. Are you in the service?
@@maxthemarlin no I'm not but I know that area is all military. What town are you near?
I’m in West Seattle. A lot of my riding vids are near Quincy & George WA though
Even here in AZ it is not common to see a Dual Sport or Super Moto on the road.
Been riding a Tee Dubb on the better part of a decade and I still grab for a 6th gear. 😆 rally safe.
I’m glad I’m not the only one!

It’s a lot brighter yes, I only had the stock one for about a month before I upgraded. I wish I had some before and after photos but I don’t
i got the jns dot headlight for mine and i couldnt be happier.
Putting in 60-100 bucks into a good LED headlight is great investment. Crisp view, and the high beams are technically not DOT approved.
no windscreen?
Never!

Around me they're around $4500ish, give or take. TWs hold their value really well.
Yes, I’m seeing between 4500-5 in western Washington
6,500 + on the East Coast
I've been regularly seeing 2-3 for sale at one time in across Western Washington, dates range from late 80's to 10's
I've been waiting since Feb 12/ 22 with a $200.00 deposit here in People's Republic of Karenfornia. Ready to just give up. Good luck bud!!!!
