Jesus was a Jew who was also the Son of God and was the Jewish Messiah to lead the Jews into the New Covenant with 'Our Father, (of all mankind) who is in heaven'. As God we are called to emulate his life and pray in the way he taught us to pray with the Our Father. He *never* said to stop praying it, so why should we?

Thank you Dr. Hahn for such an excellent analysis of this prayer taught to us by Christ himself. I too ponder the deeper meanings of each word of everything Christ says. In the Duoay Rheims bible, in Matthew, Jesus teaches us how to pray...but the 'Our Father' is very different wording from what everyone says including the Protestants...its says: "give us this day our super-substantial bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors..." This is NOT exactly simple "daily bread" from our oven, no, but its something much more than that...the Eucharist...how is it we can ask God to "forgive us our debts/sins" unless of course we confessed our sins (thereby releasing ourselves from Satanic bondage) to His priest who sits in persona Christi? And because our debts/sins have been absolved by God in confessional, we too can "grant" what we ourselves have received - we can be forgiving of others! I believe this statement of Jesus is a demonstration of equity, justice, goodwill and conscience. My question is, did a pope at some point change this wording (during VC II?) to harmonize with protestants I wonder? What happened?
The first change was problems a scribe form Hebrew to Greek as it is “super substantial bread” The second came around the mid 1500’s at the second writing of the Bible. Sadness how people think they can improve on the words from the mouth of Jesus! SIGH 😞

If this prayer removes individualism, then this particular prayer is of the devil, not at all of God; as individualism ensures justice, whereas the only other option, collectivism, has long been condemned by the Papacy's teachings. We have prayed our father many times but too tittle have we pondered about it. I am moved shamefully for the many times I just recited it for the respect and mere trust in He who gave it to us. Thanks God even in ignorance of your son, you always answered. In many circumstances I did not witness but buffled. " I have nothing I can do except to pray for them". Now I understand I feel like crying for the many instances i dspised such prayer. I am shaken for little was I aware that it is about uniting my will with his, my weakness with His sthrengh and power, my time with eternity. An elaboration on the Lord's prayer (an excellent elaboration btw) does not change this fact, it only masks it. The Vatican II Sect, is not Catholicism, it is the End Times Counter-church. The wheat are truly being separated from the tares. The Catholic remnant are holding the faith and are validated by scripture, dogma and the magisterium (pre-Vat II).

What a beautiful explanation of “Give us this day our day bread.” Not just food for our bodies but also the Eucharist to feed our souls. God gives us our daily super substantial (Epiousios) bread that we receive every day at mass.
It's Strange that, the "Our Father" the leading payer delivered by JESUS Himself( The Lord of Sabath) has centuries in the World, some so called christians never accommodate it in their Churches! All other prayers are man made except the Our Father. Think thoroughly....come back HOME...

We have prayed our father many times but too tittle have we pondered about it. I am moved shamefully for the many times I just recited it for the respect and mere trust in He who gave it to us. Thanks God even in ignorance of your son, you always answered. In many circumstances I did not witness but buffled. " I have nothing I can do except to pray for them". Now I understand I feel like crying for the many instances i dspised such prayer. I am shaken for little was I aware that it is about uniting my will with his, my weakness with His sthrengh and power, my time with eternity. My heart will ever be awake whenever my soul recites the Lord's prayer. God you are our father I am your son. Thy name, that will , thy Kingdom , Give us , lead us not.
