- I thought I'd try and fit a 1TB SSD to my FreeSat recorder after the 2nd hand Desktop PC hard disk failed. Here's my bodge job getting it done and working.
SSD used: amzn.to/3XhEuHJ
Velcro used: amzn.to/3JTMjjG - Наука та технологія
I took a leap to f faith and bought the exact SSD which was used in this video. I can confirm it fixed all my issues (wouldn’t record or pause live tv) thank you so much for making this review, I now have a perfect working Humax which seems better than ever before.
Thanks mate, seems simple enough!
Did it work ok chap?
Thanks - It worked fine for me - no more clunky noises!
"Will it be detected"... "No idea if this is going to work". Hmmm. I told you that I'd done this about a year prior to this video and that it worked fine. A mention would have been nice.
Hi can you let us know if it is still working also is the respons is faster and is it working a lot cooler mine hdd is getting quiet warm .great job and thanks
Great video. I purchased a 1GB SSD from Argos. Took about 10 minutes start to finish. The box is silent now.
1TB 😮
Thank you for the video, did you find a difference having a SSD drive? I wanted to fit a 2TB drive does it need to be SSD also it is sata please?
Hi there, thankyou for the video, I was wondering if this worked?
Is there any chance you can let us know if the box recorded as normal.
Many thanks
Yes it does and works fine. After formatting the drive the recording, playback and pausing of LiveTV all work. I'm not sure how long it'll last for but all seems ok so far :-)
did this make the internal boot up sequence any faster? Mine takes forever!
Just upgraded to SSD & it's now 15 second boot tome. Awesome
Any fixes for a Humax not turning on? Power supply works.
Did it work ok? Before I order a new drive:)
I would like to know the same thing
Worked brilliantly for me.
Hi have a nice day 😊
