Now I have some shifter cables in my 97 Saturn with a 5 speed manual. Much more my speed. Best car for an enthusiast. Get liability insurance to cut the cost (and drive well), get one of those so you can have fun with 30+ to the gallon, and get a RWD V8 for some fun while not saving gas. Makes owning any guzzler more acceptable! Only paid 2K for my SC1. Yes I have some weird plans for it.

Mako drives as if it was Tsuchiya that taught her and both are from Usui. Usui is Tsuchiya's home course and there's a video from the 80's of him drifting through C121 on UA-cam.
Haven't played any of the Initial D games, but the anime is one of two (the other being Made in Abyss) that are the most personally meaningful works I've ever encountered in my life--speaks volumes to my own experience. Too bad Takumi had to retire the Eight-Six after his battle with Shinji, I would've liked to see where he went from there.
in MF Ghost (sequel to Initial D) it is confirmed that Takumi became a rally driver after the events of Initial D, he trained the protagonist of MF Ghost (Kanata 'Katagiri' Rivington) but unfortunately Takumi got into an accident during a rally race and was forced to retire
