Personally I like the different coloured foiling. The gold and silber ones are just too standard imo.
Aww they put something to represent each defense teacher. Page 394 (Snape) chocolate and cabinet (lupin) pin (umbridge) evil detector (mad eye/barty) pixie (Lockhart) and the stone potion for (Quirrel) so can't wait for my box
The detector would have been better had the pointer been able to move.

Awful painting, too. It could have been sized for O scale and I still wouldn't be able to resist trying to paint it better. As well as the cabinet.

There was a replica briefly, but they haven't had it in years and years.
the colored foils make the book covers look like Christmas wrapping paper in my opinion.
Wizarding trunk chooses the containers and premakes the labels for Alchemy for the skin to Make. I will say unlike most bath and body which have a crazy amount of "safe" chemicals and preservatives, Alchemy uses minimal ingredients. Her regular in store and shop front items look different than TWT ones but maybe Danny can start making the labels now that he part of the TWT family!
I love the coloured foiling! And I also really loved the previous red flame one that you threw out; I think everything Danny touches is so incredible!
I also agree that Alchemy for the Skin needs to add more information and an ingredients list to their products. I’m surprised this box always features their products so consistently.

I agree about the colored foils! I think the colored ones look less authentic/magical-- but some people I'm sure love it :)
also they don't stand out as much, i mean as opposed to the background they lack contast, so letters are kind of harder to see

I watched another unboxing of this same box, and the page replica is from "Defense Against the Dark Forces" aka the book you just turned your Deathly Hallows book into with the cover, and it's proportioned to be the same size as the pages in the book! So cool!

@@fionasimpson8874 Most companies are required to put ingredients on their products here in the US. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re a small business that they’re flying under the radar, but all products in shops I’ve seen have ingredients listed. 🤷🏻♀️
I personally love the coloured foiling just cause gold it’s kinda basic and i just loved it 🖤
I would not give the knitted Cornish Pixie to a baby. I’ve had two little ones and would not give that to either one. It’s just too small and something that is going to go straight in their mouth all the time. With it being that particular type of material it’s going to pick up anything that it’s around like hair or dust or whatever. Then they of course will put it in their mouth. Eventually as their teeth begin to come in they would start tearing it apart with their teeth. That particular piece is just meant as a cute decoration piece. It’s meant to be put on a shelf to add a little magical decoration. It’s not really meant as a toy for a small child. Of course that’s just my own personal opinion. Some of that opinion comes from seeing how my son and then my daughter were with different toys at very young ages.
As far as the colored foil book covers I am in love, love, love with them. I think the one in this box is absolutely amazing! I enjoy seeing all of these different colors because they are unique and interesting. I realize you feel that it doesn’t remind you of an older book cover or something that would be around at that time. However, we are talking about magic and a school for magic and spells and potions. In this world we are talking about moving trees and flying cars and really enormous spiders that can talk and travel through fireplaces etc.Absolutely none of this is real and none of this would have existed or existed. To me that means just about anything could be around. To me that means you could have these colors or about anything else. It’s a magical world and really a world that’s only limited by your imagination. I realize that anything that is officially licensed as Wizarding World or Harry Potter has to follow very strict guidelines but anything that’s not officially licensed is really only governed by imagination. Have fun!
As far as the bath and beauty products I feel the same way about listing ingredients. Now I do try items that I don’t have all that information about if I like the way it smells. However, I will not put anything on my face or my neck or my hair that I don’t know everything that is in it. There’s just too many things that could happen in those are areas on my body that I don’t want anything bad happening to if I can help it, lol. Also, if you want to use something but worried about a reaction you can always put a little bit on a small area on your arm or leg and wait for an hour or so and see if any reaction occurs. That’s a safer way to try it without possibly causing some massive body wide reaction. 🖤🖤🖤

Totally agree about the coloured foiling! For me even if it were gold or silver , there’s just a bit too much of it - best used sparingly (like you said, as it was on real old books) than for a whole big design, imo. Cool cover designs otherwise though!

I like the Alchemy for the Skin things so much that I have placed separate orders for same/similar items.
This box was a miss for me. I had already decided that I was going to cancel after receiving the 7th book cover, and after opening this box, I was glad that I'd done it. I felt the dark detector and cabinet were poorly done. I believe the only things I kept from this box were the chocolate, the spine candle column, and the potion. 🥰

CHERRYYYY!!!! This reminds me!!! A long long time ago back in 2007 the Japanese HP page had a shop, with their own merchandise on it. All of which was in Japanese, and only available in that origin to ship. They actually made a Boggart Wardrobe replica with mirrors, and it functioned as a jewelry closet! With slots for rings and hangers for necklaces. It was beautiful, and I have not seen it online since. I want it so bad!!!

There is a Boggart Snape Hallmark ornament that would be cute displayed with the cabinet. Note that this was a SDCC 2020 exclusive and is quite expensive on eBay.
I ordered merch and it came in today. I am beyond thrilled with the quality of the Bony Pony Club Zip Hoodie. It's very thick so I know it will be warm, and it's stitched on the front, not just a screen print. I've paid more for hoodies with way less quality. Amazing! The candle I got smells great too. It's nice to see someone take care with their merch. 10/10

I'm glad the cheat sheet included the ingredients for the scrub but I definitely feel you about having the ingredients on the product itself. I have rosacea and my husband has eczema, we really need to know what's going on our skin!
I also somewhat agree on the foil. I like the colored foil (though gold is my favorite) but I think it looks best on newer things. If something is meant to look older, it does throw it off a bit to have unnatural metallic colors.

The magical symbol thing I love. I love the plain wood vibe. The patterns on it could of been gold foiled because that makes everything better but I don't know its perfect the way it is to.
