@@taesoglassy BTS tends to push the bar for K pop, in fact a lot of their songs are not even pop. A lot of BTS songs (groups and solo work) tend not have a typical Kpop sound and they do a lot of genre blending; so yeah you're both not wrong. Thanks for the reaction!

If you clicked the CC button and had the subtitles you would get that he faces extreme hate and mockery from people even death threats to him and his family for no reason other than their jealousy because he does great, he is the kindest, sweetest, most caring human on earth but they wanna push him down and tear everything he does apart.
But Jimin is a legend, his unique angel vocals and dancing that is just out of this world.
I wish it was as you said at the end that everyone comes together but that is so far from the truth. But he is so talented that he still does numbers and breaks records no matter their attempts.

All BTS members are amazing artists, they do hip hop, R&B, ballads, pop etc.
Good lyrics, good messages and amazing video clips.
They are involved in their music they write, compose and produce, now each member will have a solo album because they won't be complete as a group until 2025 because they have to do their mandatory military service.

Jimin has a very particular voice, soft but powerful with a lot of technique and who knows how to sing can tell you.
This is a hip hop song, the autotune is used creatively, he doesn't need it and there are thousands of videos of him singing to prove it.
The autotune is normally used in hip hop or trap.
Jimin is a contemporary dancer, he expresses a lot in his choreography, the song has a message and a lot of drama.
I believe that your vision is basic and limited by stereotypes and prejudices, it's your problem but I think that's why you can't understand the concept or see the details.

Kpop is not a genre. It's name given to the idol music industry in korea by Westerners. So kpop is an industry.. its not a sound.
BTS is a pop hiphop group.
They have 2 units... a rap crew and a vocal group within the group.
Jimin is a vocalist in BTS.
Just 2 weeks ago, another member of bts, one of the rappers, J-HOPE collabed with J. Cole on the song On the street.
The whole 'kpop' shit is a tactic by the Western music industry to other and box bts into their nationality so that they don't take up the spots by american or white Western artists.
We fans are not gonna let that happen.
BTS makes hiphop, pop and edm music , and majority of their stuff is inspired by black artists in US like, Nas, j. Cole, Michael Jackson, Jay z, Kanye etc.
It's just that they do it in their own language, korean.
Singing in korean doesn't make it a new genre. It's just pop music... in korean.

the people saying it's not kpop.. they just mean that what you watched is the best version of what kpop has to offer. this is not the average kpop, this is top of the top.

Jimin is one of the seven members of the biggest kpop group/ boyband / music group .. and probably more huger then most of the American artists nowadays .. BTS !!
They’re group has a lot of hip hop rnb influences but their versatile in many styles : rap , rnb , pop, rock , edm , etc .
They are compose of 4 vocalists and 3 rappers. Rappers technically sing too also. 2/3 of they’re rappers use to be underground rappers in South Korea .
You would be very disappointed if you expect such a high quality as this from a non-bts related KPop tracks. They are on the top of the world for a reason LOL.

There is multiple points here
- they form the 6 or 9 as a maze, because hes talking about how he was drunk trying to navigate through this career/position people put him in
- the auto tune is a tool used to emphasize the voices accusing him or the voices inside of him and showing the frustration . jimin is a great singer who does not need auto tune to cover his voice, but here he uses it as a tool
- they point at him , in korea you do not point at people that is rude and its showing the people criticizing him and hes saying to LOOK at HIM, not point at who he should be.

I like that you had the mv you reacting to on the bigger screen, thanku for the reaction! Correction, Jimin ain't Kpop, he bigger and much much better than that. He is one of the four vocals in the group BTS, he doesn't rap in the songs BTS do together and has a much softer fluid tone when singing in the group. As the members are producing and releasing their individual work now, we got to see this side of Jimin who raps with so much difference in his range and texture, even Armys are blown by this side of him. Also those tattoos are not real/permanent on his chest, it is a German poem called Ich lebe mein Leben in wachsenden Ringen by Rainer Maria Rilke, although the other tattoos visible are real ones. Jimin of BTS is releasing his full length album on 24th March 1pm KST, do listen and react. @@taesoglassy it’s also largely outside of Korea. South Korea has a population of about 50 million but there are 90 million + ARMYs. South Korea does not “stick together” as you said. There are tons of people in Korea who do not like BTS and prefer other artists. Some even hate BTS for getting such success and not their preferred artists.

1) He was the last member to Join BTS even though he nearly got kicked out multiple times.😅 He also had the shortest training period.
2) He has a background in contemporary dance and was the top student in his whole modern dance department.

TBH with you , Kpop is kinda a complex term. Especially if your not familiar with the music / business . Kpop isn’t just music but it’s really a multi billion dollar korean entertainment industry . You don’t just got music but you also got modeling , acting , fashion , etc . But for the most part kpop Is known for music .
So yes kpop does stand for korean pop like the genre of korean pop music specifically . But it also stands for korean POPULAR MUSIC . Meaning you don’t just got “pop music “, but you also have hip hop , RnB , pop, edm, trap rock, jazz, blues , ballads , even Latin pop influences etc .
Kpop takes a lot of American music influences / artists / rappers and fuse it all in one . Every kpop group is bit different from one another depending on their style . Some are more rap / hip hop influences like BTS, some are more pop , some are RnB influences , and some are just SUPER VERSATILE WITH MANY STYLES AND GENRES , BTS being one of them
Think of K-pop as an industry and not a genre. BTS and the individual members go SO FAR outside of what K-pop is- though they technically fall under the label... they are beyond it. BTS has over 300 songs in almost every genre. RM, BTS' leader, released and album in December, "Indigo" and it has 10 tracks with 10 different genres.
The German poem on Jimin's chest is temporary, but he DOES have a lot of real tattoos.

If you enjoy music just listen to it and stop trying to put a label on it.
You don't know how to react. You talked nonstop throughout the clip and your focus was elsewhere. If you want a reaction, all your focus should be on the song, the video, the artist and the lyrics. If you want to talk, you have to pause the video. In my opinion, your reactions were very contrived. I hope you take my comment into consideration and pay attention to it in your next videos.
