There ought to be a way to protect the river from the sewers. Some reservoir should be created or the Victorian system enhanced so there is somewhere for sewage to go other than the river. The sewage system must not be allowed to pollute a natural waterway.

      I agree with you 100%
I can’t remember where I saw it, but I thought I saw a program that mentioned doing something similar to what you suggested. I sincerely hope that something is being done.
Seeing these images of the dead fish and the pollution is really distressing and so sad to see. A good rainstorm should benefit a river, not impact it negatively.

I agree. I was getting too engrossed in the documentary. Thank heavens for the ads that prevented that.

    Acted quickly? Acted quickly?
They acted, but they didn’t act quickly.
They did everything else BUT address the problem until they absolutely had to.

Sometimes I wonder why they do not put the camera in the speaker's mouth, they get almost close enough. We really do not want to see their tonsils

That's what's happening in Los Angeles now and if Yellowstone or the New Madrid fault goes, we will have radioactive rivers and a radioactive Gulf and a radioactive Atlantic, just like the Pacific is now from Fukashima.

300,000 tons of untreated sewage into the river in one day...wow.. well done kids. Surely and example of British ingenuity at it best, and such a bunch of tree hugging environmental do-gooders going on about global warming. I’ll take a pass on the raw oysters, thanks. Even if they are bearded oyster ! Hardy-har-har
