Both are equally well mixed, the version from the show is "better" crafted. So if we talk about "quality", from a mixing POV, they are equally good. I love how at 0:05 it’s from VI’s perspective and we see her focusing and determined while shielding her little sister Powder. And at 0:11 it’s from powder’s perspective and we see her looking up to her sister while Vi looks down and away looking angry and cross
The song was made to fit the series, it was a deal between Imagine Dragons and Arcane, it's part of the OST for arcane, that's why the song fits extremely well
As an animator (and just an avid fan of any well-executed films, animated or not), I must say the shots, lighting, and composition for this are just. If that wasnt enough, the semiotics for each character, as well as the progression of implied meanings are so well done that it tells a story of its own about the character (mainly talking about Viktor cuz man, I LOVE that entire spinning shot of him while the clay progressively becomes more refined, good parallel)
So for me this opening was a process of slowly realizing who every person in the intro was. I didn't recognize the second instance of Jayce, Vi, or Jinx. It was also pretty wild when I realized the green figure is Ekko and the one in the purple lighting is Viktor

It literally took me till episode 8 to figure out Viktor was the one with the leg close up, and even that was only because I paused and noticed his falling crutch

I love how this intro is full of foreshadowing without giving away too much. I especially love the foreshadowing at 0:44 [SPOILER AHEAD] The “spare the sympathy” depicts Victor when he augmented himself for the first time. Despite dying because of a terminal illness, he decided to take control of his own life. Which is why he shouldn’t be pitied on at this part of the story. The scene then switched to Jayce for the “my enemy” line which foreshadows their future relationship in the game. The spare the sympathy line also pertains to Cait. This could be a foreshadowing to the final episode where because she sympathized with Vi’s pain on what happened to her sister, she hesitated, which enabled Jinx to overpower her. This of course allowed Jinx to do what she did in the finale. Basically, in regards to Jinx, Cait should have “spared the sympathy”.
I was in absolute awe when I finished watching this. The story is surprisingly rich, the pacing so energetic and just right and the characters are extremely relatable, like, man, I'm speechless. And to top it all off, the animation, the designs of characters, city, the atmosphere is second to none. Never played League of Legends and for little that I knew of it, I always thought the story was non existent and the characters where just a mish mash of different aesthetics, but in Arcane, the lore seems so believable even if it's not explicitly explained, like it all just jells together.
Honestly this song was the best opening ever, the thought of skipping it _never_ and I mean _never_ came into my mind. This song just hypes you up for the story, and some how with that you knew it was going to be amazing.

this version is so much more power and energy
Even the intro is a masterpiece.
