I tend to use and hide (a lot of) helium blocks usually near the deck of the ship or within the superstructure along with some ballast blocks on the very bottom. But the downside is the more block you have the lagger it gets (it might be just a me problem) Thx for some new tips!
I simply use ice blocks at the waterline, this provides incredible stability and if sometimes the ice is not at the right level (too high), this time I use ice blocks. ballast so that it sinks. This is a better technique, both aesthetically and technically. Otherwise great video 👍
i wanna add that a friend of mine suggested i add wing panels to the bottom the underwater section of the ship to increase bouyancy. and ngl it kinda works? but i question how effective it is..
That depends. They generate a lot more buoyancy due to their functionality, but they are significantly laggier when employed on a large scale. They are best used on smaller vessels.
@@USBCord basically yes, for simple controls. But there is pretty possible today to make realistic balanced ships on plane crazy and my ships have that technique aswell which I love to see them literally angling on turn or when being dropped in water from a side , their balance flips it automatically as real physics back to vertical position
“I’m not a shipbuilder”
**shows the most majestic ahh ships I’ve ever seen in this game**
whatever floats your boat 🤷
Underrated comment
Ah yes the 2018 vibes
great game
Sigma game bro
pun intended?
the kerbal space program music sets the tone. love the builds, and this helped me. Thank you for making this vid!
definitaly needed also nice great lakes ship
ty and yw :D
Bro the one in the video looked like the Edmund Fitzgerald
@@juliaphan1428no it didn't, the Edmund Fitzgerald was red and a whole different type of ship
Tip use ballast blocks and helium ontop of your boat/ship
This actually helped me
0:14 Brittanic ahh moment
That Laker is riding VERY HIGH out of the water-
I really wish that they make the pontoon much more "floatable" in game.
holy i need to learn how to build ships like that
I wish I new this sooner. Everytime I add funnels to my ships it always capsizes.
And for ballast user not put ballast in the middle but in the side if you try turn with ballast at the middle your boat gonna capsize
Thank you for the tutorial Mr. USB, the cargo ship looks great!
love the ksp music
Thx bro it float and can change directions ❤
Yw
omg tysm the gyro helped so much

could we get a walkthrough of that “cargo” or Great Lakes ship? It’s beautiful
Unfortunately there is no interior yet, but it would be cool to do something like that!
i wanna add that a friend of mine suggested i add wing panels to the bottom the underwater section of the ship to increase bouyancy.

I haven't tested that. Sounds interesting, I may test it in the future.
I already know how to make my boats float, why am i here!?
Nice ships
Thanks for the tutorial!
i dont use a gyro personally i just put a heavy block to make it float
ksp music detected
im having flashbacks
build a boat: *builds a plane and not a boat*
plane crazy: *builds a boat and not a plane*
boat crazy , build a plane to treasure
Or just use pontoon on the waterline inside your ship
We be building ships in ksp with this one
Noice
:)
whatever floats your boat
i guess
saved me once more tank you
tank you :D
I thought that was storm works for a second until I read the video tital
Hello usb :)
is that first ship the Daniel J Morrell by chance?
Thanks USB Cord
so im not the only one who uses key pad minus as a button you dont press
1:15 wait… you can just do that? HOW DID I NEVER KNOW!?
Yeah, I even did that to my submarine
i just use gyro
thanks.
Plane crazy❌ boat crazy✅
Build a boat ❌ build a plane✅
How do you build the cargo ship from 0:01
with your blocks
Do pontoons work well as well as 5x5 cylinders?
That depends. They generate a lot more buoyancy due to their functionality, but they are significantly laggier when employed on a large scale. They are best used on smaller vessels.
Just add a keel.
Gyro doesnt make the ship more realstic when hit sth
Why the water is so laggy?
The waterline and bottom are so unrealistic not gonna talk about
yeah, it's kinda one of those things you have to accept for this method.

Now make how sink your ship
I did over a year ago
@@USBCordoh ok
Ok
When ship showcases >:(
GYROS
Im too stupid what imperial weight means
Why is there a ban hammer? 1:17
The owners of all private servers have access to one. In this case, me!
Poontoons syabilize ur ship and generally are hidden
Him uses 5x5 cylinders me just use 1x7 beams
Is it just me or does anyone else use the basic floating element of the game?
Pontoons also generate bouyancy.
Yes but they are harder to use correctly due to their weird physics.
how do you hide them if you're trying to *sink* the ship?
If you want to do that, you may be able to cover them up beneath the hull. This reduces some of the lag benefits though.
@@USBCord i dont even know why I ask this since I work with 5-stud wide miniships
Anyone know how to get in the plane crazy discord
