@electrickid621 You would still need the master code to input before you can silence the alarm and clear down the triggered zones. Even if you isolated the power via the circuit breaker the unit will have a battery backup which could last anywhere between an hour to three hours.
I never thought there was so many abandoned buildings in the U.K. With land being so expensive here it’s surprising development companies haven’t moved in for a bid. Thanks so much for your interesting information. 😉
I love your videos and how you explore and love the architecture of the place you are exploring. Such a shame these swimming pools and original features are just left to ruin.
It would be great if the first one could be turned into a spa with swimming pool, those exercise rooms could make great treatment rooms. The second one reminds me of the swimming pool at my old school
Well done guys! Got my Urbandoned book today. Alex, Alistair and Theo you should each have signed each copy. You’re doing historic stuff; eg the Tree Tops Hotel in Aberdeen has gone. Good luck with your important work. Society is at the mercy of developers and not democratic choice or need.
In every video all I see are resources. Take the roof system here. I'd love to dismantle that and build a work shop/house. Waste drives me crazy and I'd rather fix something old than buy something new that's garbage. Thanks for sharing and making my mouth water so to speak. Dave from New Hampshire USA
Very interesting video and I was so surprised you've stayed so calm while the Alarm went off so my hat goes off to you for a very entertaining video show casing a very detailed video.
Another good one guys! Shame about the alarms but still a great insight into both properties. I used to go to these styles of baths are a schoolchild way back in the late 70’s, those the video brings back a few memories. Can’t wait for tomorrows addition. Thanks!
Hey I just thought I’d recommend this abandoned factory in Stamford lincs. It was the old Cummins factory or generator on barnack road. Be quick tho it is going to be redeveloped soon and demolished. Enjoyed the video mate!
I wonder if this location used to be like a uk version of our YMCA, where they had a swimming pool, a gym, and exercise facilities. And hearing that alarm, I’d be running out of there hoping security didn’t catch up to me lol.
Great video guys but guys I don't know if you know this but if these alarms are monitored and fitted properly If you hit 2 or more detectors it will send a verified intruder signal back to ARC and the police may be alerted
You guys do a great job and your interest in these abandoned buildings to the point that you actually do a bit of research into its history etc, makes me wonder why you don't contact the owners of the buildings in order that you can have as much time as you need without having to keep an eye out for security staff or worse, being arrested by the police for breaking and entering. You are clearly not "Yobs" with a spray can. Can you and other explorers not get together and create some-sort of registered organisation or group where you can all keep yourselves on the right side of these councils and owners and at the same time be safe enough to continue making your videos. Last thing we would want is to see you in a not so abandoned police cell!!! ha ha ha Stay safe.
I Don't think they are committing any crime if they just walk in an open unlocked door or window, so it is not breaking and entering. Possibly trespass but that is a civil matter not a crime. And if nothing is stolen or damaged (Urban Explorers don't do that), I believe there is a code of honour, what can they really be accused of? Enter and leave quietly, leave nothing and take nothing. I wouldn't want to do this in USA though - too many guns with irrational nutters holding them, including police.
Yes it is. I thought I recognised it, then went looking for other pics. It was the Turkish suite that gave it away for me. Never heard of/seen one elsewhere.
@Mr Andy local knowledge helps here, it’s being redeveloped into a business hub and work has started. If I didn’t know that I wouldn’t have mentioned it.
It's so surreal to see a leisure centre abandoned it makes me think bout my local centre and how it'd look abandoned Unfortunately the damned thing been privatised and it don't seem as inviting just something about that i dunno anyway thanks for the good work keep it up!
These sorts of videos of places we see everyday do provoke those sorts of thoughts. Even in our town, the leisure centre closed down and was left in an abandoned state for years before being demolished... thank you!
Great video, love what you do! Not here to sound like a Karen, however personally I wouldn’t turn on any lights as you don’t know what the state of the electrical system is in and can risk starting fires and things like that.
If the council was so broke why didn’t the sell the property and land? They could have used the money for building a few much needed councils homes or care homes, help for the elderly and things like that. More like ‘fiddling the books’ driven.
You need permission to film. Miles Power did a good video and he got permission for educational purposes. Certain areas they ask you not to film or take photos out of respect.
No no no please respect Auschwitz. It is not abandoned as it is a museum commemorating holocaust victims. It is most definitely not a place for light entertainment.
For me that does not matter. Too many Urbexers try to dress their videos up with noises and SFX. I like the serious almost academic tone, and the choices of locations are different and interesting.
I love how calm you guys are when the alarm goes off, I panic every time
It comes with experience, for sure!
@electrickid621 the panel with the key in is the fire alarm panel. The intruder alarm is the one ringing

It wont be long until they build on it m8
No problem, the UK is in abundance of abandoned structures. There are so many more than meets the eye...
I love your videos and how you explore and love the architecture of the place you are exploring. Such a shame these swimming pools and original features are just left to ruin.
The alarm goes off at 7:12 for anyone wondering
This is something I could never do. Too scary for me. Keep up the great work!
Wanted you to press the drowning alarm 😂
The great thing about abandoned buildings is that you can picture what it used to look like and kind of get that sort of nostalgic vibe and feel.
Definitely!
It would be great if the first one could be turned into a spa with swimming pool, those exercise rooms could make great treatment rooms. The second one reminds me of the swimming pool at my old school
Awesome work guys!
Thank you very much
8:00 - That control panel on the left with key still attached and you all didn't tried to silence it??!! 🤔😀
That’s the fire alarm panel.

Art deco at its finest
Great videos guy . I look forward to the next one.

Wow that pool is just the same as longsight Turkish baths bk in the 80s

We will have a sniff, thanks for the tip off :)
I work in a leisure centre and in feb we moved sites so I find theses videos interesting thinking about going into are local old leisure centre
Is this tunstall pool … this place is childhood em memories
Looks like a pool that was Sherlock few years ago
That pool was Bristol South on Dean Lane in Southville. That one is very much still in use.
I thought the exact same thing!
SUPER WOW. WE LOVE OLD, ABANDONED BUILDINGS.
Wow! Love it

I live near this and it wasn't part of a ymca
I want to open a circus school and an abandoned pool like this would be such a perfect building
Looks very similar to the old 'Bristol North Swimming Baths'
Maybe, we should take a look at that one!
@@Urbandoned The building is still there, but I believe it's been turned into flats or some kinds of offices inside. :(
Been waiting since 4!
Hope it was worth the wait!
@@Urbandoned definitely
Love the video. How much is it to join?
3:58 is this a alarm and air raid SIREN combo in one or something?
Crazy loud!!
@@Urbandoned So true, imagine that thing went of while you were inside, thing probably would be like screaming a ear piercing sound and pitch
Not sure what that old motorised siren is for! Maybe an old fire alarm or pool alarm. The speaker is probably just a PA (public address) speaker
love all theese videos
Appreciate it :)
Great video
Thank you very much
I’d recommend the Eagle building in Stevenage
Hey guys! Love your videos! you should really visit an abandoned nuclear power plant like Chernobyl
There’s a reason why they are abandoned💀
Chernobyl in Ukraine was done by another UK based Explorer before it became a war zone. There wasn't anything of much interest there.
Heres somthing interesting. Find an abandoned siren system in a city and activate it.
Great video guys but guys I don't know if you know this but if these alarms are monitored and fitted properly
If you hit 2 or more detectors it will send a verified intruder signal back to ARC and the police may be alerted
We usually don't spend long after setting an alarm off, depending on the area or proximity to the police station. Thanks for letting us know, though
But bottom line is "what can the police do? No crimes committed, nothing stolen, nothing broken"
@@philiptownsend4026 if somebody owns the property, it could be viewed as trust passing
Couldn't you have found the main security box and deactivated the sensors and alarms?
Why is their stil power? if its abandoned the power should have been cut
Tunatall, Stoke on Trent guys??
They should visit the old ford car plant if there is one
Power on the holy grail of any explorer.
If there is no lights, leave immediately
@@Urbandoned why so?
why were so many things blurred out
Great video 👍🏼
Thanks a lot
