Why is Gal(K/Q) ~ Z/2 x Z/2 and not to C_4 ~ Z/4 is not explained, though I guess it was previously check or explained...
+Jose A. Perez Since K=Q[sqrt(2), i], all automorphisms are generated by conjugations sqrt(2) -> -sqrt(2) and i -> -i. So all automorphisms have order 2 (no element of order 4).
