Thanks for going and watching that! Unfortunately, that video is missing the ending which was probably the best bit. Oh well, don't worry. 😂
You have missed the best bits from the full version.
Wrong version again. The end was cut off.
Ricky's rant on Apple was great.
I don't think you really get it. This is how 99% of the world felt/feels and finally someone said it. It felt like a catharsis 4 us. (you missed quite a bit where he talked about Weinstein for example) For years Hollywood looked away (& down upon us) and than Ricky jumped on the stage and ... euh well unleashed ?
Nobody ever points this out but when he talks about people dying during 2019 and finishes with ‘maybe next year?’ That was the Covid year!
I doubt many people remember COVID.
I wouldn't put it past Ricky Gervais to manufacture a pandemic.
@@FlyingFox86 that's one of the strangest comments on YT.
Agreed! So famous for his chemical engineering and mass murder!
@Mandy Cane , this was the short version with words cut out , there is a longer uncensored version .
Watching you is a torture, it's like gazing at the window of an Aston Martin or Bugatti dealer.
The face of Tom Hanks is F ING priceless 😂 he fled the country when those papers first came out the dirty little bastard
He’s long gone allegedly 🙃
@@saunteronman when the Epstein list was first published Tom fucked off and left the country the man's a wrongen
The people that choose the hosts know what they’re like especially Ricky Gervais
Calls out the Hollywood criminal ring and the moral grandstanding of those who knew about it and either took part or were silent about it. "He's just negative, maybe fame went to his head". The lack of context really didn't help you out here.
I think her dislike of Ricky got in the way in this video 🤣
Understandable, he's grating@@kylefromnz
@@kylefromnz If her dislike of someone stops her from admitting when they are right, well, got some growing up to do
"It's called The American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it."
-George Carlin
Hang on, you like riding all the big ones? There is an innuendo bingo win right there!
He’s calling out gross stuff in Hollywood so i don’t think it’s right to think did fame get to his head. You can think it’s grouchy but it’s all for good here in his last monologue in these awards, he’s a real one.
I suspect when he said most ripped, he meant The Rock.
This was lovely. Thank you Mandy
He told them the things they needed to be told.
Brilliant ,courageous man.
10:23 the best thing he's ever said that's why I love Ricky he's a man of the people
Loved your Reactions. 🧸
Pure working class British Punk Rock attitude and delivery...
4:18 That feeling you get when you are on a bus, car, train etc. and it feels like you are moving when it's actually the other vehicle moving, and you are stationary. THAT is Einstine's Theory of Relativity in action, you are experiencing relativity personally. It's really groovy. 😁
Hollywood has been negative since "The Sound of Music".
I’ve still got my DVD collection. No subscription fees or anything.
Maybe a small person Mandy, but a BIG personality and that's what we like 😃
'I haven't grown since i was eleven?' 😂
Oh lord I've not seen this
You managed to watch the wrong one...this is shortened and misses the best stuff. Imho
Or, maybe, considering it's not the first time, she's doing it on purpose so she doesn't have to spend as much time
You can try Lee Mack and Chris McCausland's BAFTA speech.
Oh they did win at the Globes in 2001. Surprising everyone
Yes, I agree with everything in that reaction
One of the funniest comments about the film "Cats" was from Rebel Wilson when she presented the Best Director award at the BAFTAs a few years ago. (She was in "Cats".) Her whole intro speech is up there with Ricky's:
ua-cam.com/video/XTXfcFe4Tbc/v-deo.htmlsi=vXZWwmHIMwOP_db6
Mandy isn't a tiny person. She's an exquisite miniature of a full-sized woman.
Still the wrong video 🙃 this video is 5 minutes short. Again, these are all the correct videos to use and run times
Ricky Gervais hosting the 2010 Golden Globes All of his good bits chained (9 minutes 38)
Ricky Gervais at the 2011 Golden Globes (12 minutes 47)
Ricky Gervais | Golden Globes 2012 (13 minutes 33)
Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes 2016 - All of his bits chained (14 minutes 47)
Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes 2020 - All of his bits chained (12 minutes 23)
Or maybe, it's on purpose so she has less material to record or edit. Considering how many times it happens.... One dot is just a dot, several dots make a line
Netflix did finally drop their prices
Streaming services were great when there weren't that many and they were reasonably priced. Now every movie studio has a streaming service and they charge like there is no tomorrow. This how piracy started in the first and this how they are seeing a resurgence...
Tom Hanks was making this funny face because he was receiving Lifetime award.
The fact that you are not into pop culture makes you even more lovable! 😉
The ending was cut off
and was censored
12:22 I thought that was my cat meowing for a second! 😅
Big, beautiful personality though. Thanks Mandy, as always.
4:40 She doesn't understand the joke
Netflix is all foreign language movies
It's hard to react to something when you don't get half the references.
And yet Mandy always adds her own anecdotes / 2 cents that can be more entertaining than the original.
@@hughtube5154 True.
If it makes you feel better, Steve Merchant wasn’t allowed on rides because he was too tall, when he was 11 years-old.
Hey Mandy
13:00 It is okay. You too young. It goes back to like 2012
Point with the cursor 😊
You should wear "tiny" as the Badge of Honor. Cause you are also cute. Great combination.
Lmao, thank you 🤣🤣
I never got into netflix, even when it was just a DVD rental.
Not any streaming service?
Tut tut tut Mandy, you've reacted to the wrong version, there's another 5mins or so that you've missed.
Great reaction though....👊🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I really enjoyed your chit chats. Thank goodness for normalcy! 👵❤ I've not seen your message x. However D Inero gone wack, imo???? 🇬🇧🙏
You're so funny. A very cute, apparently very small girl from Argentina (although you sounds American???), but understandably not knowing some of the references in this clip. Anyway, RG is a genius. Have a great day over in Argentina, and congratulations on winning the World Cup😅
yes , she is American. ✌
about the netflix part, did netflix really get really expensive? its the same as it has always been for me from what i can remember
This one was brutal
I’m always being called small in so many ways and I’m 6ft 🤔
..agree with comment..The full uncensored version could have been used..think best bits are after..
Hello 👋🏾
Cute Mandy
Car number plates made in prison.
Oh boy he really delivered here 🤣
Yes!!!
Ya know what's more depressing than. It having grown since you were 11? Having shrunk!
1:54 Do you understand that joke?
Felicity Hoffman is an actress who went to jail for paying bribes to get her kid into an elite college.
As a biker I have to say Wild Hogs is possibly the most god awful waste of film in the last 30 years ( steven seagull's On Deadly Ground) 🙀🏍️💨💨💨💨😸👍
You are tiny though, i'm almost a foot taller than you! lol
I get it with the not knowing anyone after 2000. I think I've said before that everything after 1995 is crap. At least in my opinion. Plus, the longer I live, the less I care about all of that. I never watched the Oscars or Emmys or Grammys or any of that before. My mom always has (at least the Oscars), and she talks to me about it as if I care and as if I watch. I wouldn't recognize any of the newer people, either. I'm just glad I got to meet some well known people before. News reporters, mayors, Brad Sellers, pastors, people like that.
You missed half it 😢
He was deliberately overly confrontational in this monologue because he said he'd done it 5 times already and had no desire to ever do it again, so he wanted to go out with a bang and really call everyone out in the industry for their gross hypocrisy and abhorrent behaviour.
Yay its the right year!
Noo it's the wrong version 😅
One step forward, two steps back
Permit me to mansplain. Felicity Hauffman (Lynette in Desperate Housewives/ William H Macy's wife (William H Macy being Jerry in Fargo and the cuckolded husband in Boogie Nights)) was jailed for bribing a university to accept her child's falsified SAT so they could get an Ivy League education. Hence the joke about making his license plate.
The Ronan Farrow joke is because Ronan (Mia Farrow's son with Frank Sinatra, even though she was married to Woody Allen) is a lawyer and journalist who exposed sexual abuse in the industry, especially Harvey Weinstein's. Hence why the audience full of predatory producers would be nervous.
Mandy, all good things come in small packages.
✌️❤️🇬🇧
What are these takes?
I agree that Ricky's best stuff is with Steve; The Office, Extras and XFM are his best stuff. But I still enjoyed his solo stuff like Derek and After Life. To be honest, the same goes with Karl, outside of XFM and An Idiot Abroad, his solo stuff is pretty average without the guidance and reactions of the other two. Steve Merchant has done some great stuff solo though.
i mean hes not wrong though
Hello from The Netherlands i love your reactions, but i do miss your big bleu knee in our face.
And you also are part Italian too?
No wonder.
And i don't know what it means, but my cats wake up when i put one of your vid's on.
Yes, i know. Humans don't have cats, they have humans.
Well, have a good one and thank you.
The Harvey Weinstein joke at the end of the show is the best bit, too bad this video cut it off
“How about you?” Another great heckle!
Which bit was that in response to?
Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg
Is Netflix really that expensive? I only paying 20€ per month . I personally think that's alright compare to what you have to pay for sky TV
netflix used to be £9 just 4 years ago so yes and its woke trash
A brilliant man.
7:30 Aren't you 1.61m, or am I remembering that wrong? I don't think that's tiny, exactly. Not tall, obviously, but not a super uncommon height for a woman. I mean, compared to the average dwarf, you're an absolute whopper! 😁 But seriously, anywhere between 1.6 and 1.7m is the ideal height for a lady, as far as I'm concerned.
I’ve watched this loads of times and it NEVER occurred to me he was being hypocritical in using his platform to moralise then telling everyone else not to, until you pointed that out. Wow, I feel stupid! 😅
It probably never occurred to you because it isn't hypocritical in the slightest.
"I haven't grown since I was 11" 😹😹😹😹
Hello beautiful human😘🤗
Oh no you got the shorterned one. He ends the night by comparing bird box, where people go around without seeing anything - just like working for Harvey Weinstein.
you should do the full uncensored version its brutal
Tiny but cute
This was richly deserved by those Hollywood virtue signallers.
This is literally Ricky virtue signaling
@@sara-jayn No, it's much more sincere and critical than nauseating Hollywood actors bleating on about the 'current issue' with no real sincerity. As far as I know, Ricky Gervais has never created a video in which he tells people how to vote, or made a cringe-inducing rendition of John Lennon's 'Imagine.'
@sara-jaynecalvert3228 maybe he believes what he says but suffers cognitive dissonance to not know he's part of the problem?
@@tbone35453 virtue signaling is using a platform to demonstrate how much better you are than others. I agree with what he’s saying. Especially about isis and apple. But he’s absolutely virtue signaling. That’s all he does these days. I agree with his stance on animal rights. He still virtue signals about it. Just because you agree with him does not mean this isn’t a giant act of self Aggrandising
@@hughtube5154 it’s his ego. He can’t admit he’s wrong and that he doesn’t know something.
“I don’t know people who became famous after the 90’s…” How old are you, woman….?! 😂
Are you small enough to lean on an apple?
😂
"I personally feel he's better with Smerch and Karl. On his own, he's quite the grouch. With Steve and Karl hes lighter and funner. Without them hes very negative"
Tbh this basically sums up the entire sentiment of the Xfm community. That those two, particularly Smerch, really helped keep him grounded and rein in his ego which in the last few years has gotten a bit out of control. Ricky is now at the point where he's retweeting people who say he's a genius...
‘We’ve lost another one to itv.’ Old Ricky would hate who he is now.
I just have to say that hair and lipstick colour is captivatingly gorgeous.
Petite, but beautifully formed. 😂❤
I just refuse to subscribe to anything, I've never subscribed to cable or a phone plan and I'm not subscribing to music or TV. I like to know exactly what I'm spending when I spend it and not have all these things firing off. Why my car cost £700 and not £40K like everyone at work that pays a quarter of their wage per month into it and then cries they have no money.
Hope no 'Small Person Racist' has ever been mean to you Mandy!
Lot of plastic in that audience.
Do I say "first"?
Did anyone say nobody cares
I care Damien. I care@@Damien.Young46
@@Damien.Young46 You just did, love.
@@ItsTerryTime yep
@@Damien.Young46 Good for you
It was genuinely his last time. When he did this he really hit the mood of the public. I find younger Ricky hilarious on his own. His present incarnation has somehow lost his freshness, this monologue marks the end - where he went from outspoken and uncensored to something a bit disconnected from my sense of humour, and perhaps a bit self important.
I absolutely love the XFM shows (and your reactions to them, Mandy), but I might be the only one who thought these Golden Globe monologues were largely unfunny. Most of it was cringey and hard to get through. I'm pretty most of the audience were capable of laughing at themselves (some probably weren't) but it just wasn't funny enough for them to do so. You can hear them tyring, but it just fell flat.
I remember one in particular where he talked about the ending of Lost and said:
"One of the biggest events on TV this year was the finale of 'Lost.' One of my favourites. And all the questions were answered... yeah. I have to say, though, It was a complicated finale. I'm not sure I totally understood it all, but from what I can work out, I'm pretty sure the fat one ate them all."
I mean, really? That was the kind of joke you'd expect from 9 year-old.
Sorry to be negative about it, but I feel the need to balance out all the "genius" comments that usually accompany these. 😁
Yes... You are the only one. It obviously didn't fall flat because everyone (except the targets) loved it and he kept on being invited back. I don't know you noticed but the entire room is laughing, the cameras were focusing on people who were very clearly uncomfortable. I don't see many other award show hosts monologues be watched again years later or remembered at all, so clearly he did something right. Perhaps you prefer them being bland and sterile.
I agree with your appraisal of his stand up persona. Doesn't make me laugh at all.
go join hanks and the rest of em
