Did Sullivan think speaking in Italian to Carina will make her not pissed? He basically opened a door for Carina to be angry in a more fluent and articulate manner 100 words per minute lol
Sometimes it helps a person if they speak another language to vent out what is bothering them.
I want to applaud the writers for the character development of both Maya and Carina and for giving us a wonderful couple. Both actresses also do a marvelous job of bringing both characters to life.
I think that Marina shared a moment when Maya dipped her feet into the ice water bath before Sullivan came over and ruined it.

Ultimately I think Maya's hesitance came from not wanting to fail her children the way she was failed. Both my mom and my uncle struggled with similar before my cousins and I were born. I knew that Maya would eventually come around

I still have a problem with him because he still doesn't seem to get it. His argument was that he did what he did because Maya was getting demoted no matter what so he said what he said to save the station rather than stick up for his captain. Nothing was going to happen to 19. Maya needed someone in her corner (to maybe lessen her probation) and he chose to prop himself up. That's the problem. Maya and 19 had his back after he did drugs at work and he turned his on her. Until he understands that, it'll be hard to not be mad at him.

He made a terrible move at the worst time. I understand the need to make such a move. He was the chief. He has never shown that he has accepted the demotion so I wasn't surprised when he went for it.
@@ashleycummings9272 I agree cause it wasn't certain that anything was gonna happen to the station, Maya was gonna face investigation anyway but Sullivan's actions undermine her and also made it seem that it's true that she has no control of the station, as people keep saying he was Chief so his word might have help if he supported her but at least he tried, in the end he didn't care about the station he just wanted to get his job back which is absurd considering what he did that ended in his demotion. Maya and the station supported him but he didn't even try, he's still bitter about his demotion and until he learns to accept responsability nothing will change, he still believes it's owed to him the position, that he should be higher rank. He apologized ok but that doesn't mean they have to forgive him and let's not forget he still believes he was in the right, he apologized but he would do it again

I see so many people disliking Carina for this and talking shit as if she were stupid. As if she already didn't know that it wasn't his fault Maya didn't want kids. But she's angry, and like Maya already said she projected because it was easier to be mad and blame him for all of it instead of being mad at Maya. And honestly Carina has a reason to still be mad at Sullivan regardless because at the end of the day he undermined and tried to put himself first instead of showing support or even an ounce of loyalty for Maya as Captain even all that Maya had done to care and support Sullivan in the past.
And Ben said it well too, Sullivan is ruthless and not in a good way. Anything he sees to get himself to the top he will do even if that means running over his own people who has supported him.
These last two years have been hell. ABC, please just give us Maya and Carina as the endgame.

i dislike they had to go through one person doesn't want kids storyline. I rather they hash it or know about it first before getting married. i know they got married a lot quicker than expected. But anytime I see a gay couple going through that discussion of kids, I just think Calzona and that was a lot to handle.

Last season Carina pulled the same thing with Jack. She was pissed at him for having sex with Maya, even though Maya was the one who initiated it. Carina worked with Jack, but she didn't like him, which was valid.

Let’s be real Robert did what a lot of people would have done! Maya and Andy walk around acting like they are above everyone. She disobeyed a order simple. Yes what Robert did was snakey but either way maya was going to get demoted what don’t people understand. Andy got moved because of her big mouth

Maya got herself demoted and Sullivan definitely did have maya’s back up until the chief said all of 19 would be transferred and he started looking out for himself and that was definitely wrong. However, andy keeps walking around saying, HE got her transferred and maya demoted. Maya was going to be demoted regardless bc she disobeyed the chiefs direct orders and andy got transferred bc just like ALWAYS, she think’s being Pruitt’s daughter makes her invincible and she can just talk to anyone how she wants. Now she can be an invincible big mouth at 23 , all because of her own actions.
