Appreciated this video! Although I’m an LPC (recently fully licensed in June 2024), I still found a lot of tips you shared very helpful! I have been binge watching your other videos and I have learned some great strategies and even purchased some books you recommended that have been extremely helpful in my work with children and teens. Thank you for creating this space and for sharing!
👻 thanks for the video, it was super insightful! I know you mentioned that it is possible to get clinical hours within a school social work role. How would that look like? I have received some negativity in a way by some practicing social workers that say that it isn't always what it's cracked out to be, but I know that depends on the district and where you live.
Thank you for all of the information ! I am a new subscriber. I will be starting at a community college starting in october and then transferring to a university to finish my social work degree ! My dream is to be a LCSW!
As someone who does jiu jitsu, I resonate with the delay of private practice. Jumping right into private practice, I imagine, would be akin to trying to open a jiu jitsu gym as a blue belt. The blue belt literally only has two years of jiu jitsu experience, similarly to someone who studies under a supervisor for two years in regard to lcsw related activities.
I work as a hospital social worker but my passion lies in school social work. I want to transition into school social work but the fact that it doesn’t offer clinical supervision makes me hesitant. I thought about getting a per diem therapist job on the side while I do school social work to start getting clinical hours. But I wonder if that would be too much on my plate 😕
Good morning! I am a QBHP (qualified behavioral health provider) for a mental health clinic in my area. I believe what I do is similar to a social work, however I do not do any home visits. Can you share what therapeutic approach you use in your work and any other suggestions for interventions?
Love your videos! I am also in Texas :) I look forward to watching your videos as they are incredibly helpful as I continue through my LCSW journey.

I just started going back to school for clinical social work. I am turning 30 and feel old but time is going to pass anyways.

I'm in Texas. I'm wondering if I need a part time position since my full time position I don't diagnose and its more case management less clinical
