Lara and Laura almost collaborated together on a cover album of Laura's songs following this meeting. Lara wanted to rework the musical compositions to better match her musicality. But Laura did not join the project because she did not want her repertoire to be too far from what she had achieved. Since Laura reminded Lara that she would have liked to finalize a project together. Seal also wants to work with Lara. I wish Lara would. I don't know if you know, Lara resumed her tour stopped 2 years ago because of the Covid. She has already done 3 or 4 singing tours in Montreal before leaving for Europe. For my opinion, the album was incredible and so marvelous but the her mageners and Warner music wanted to change her romantic style for dance style. She didn't want and she go out this proyect and she made other one better "Escucha/ Resta in Ascolto" and she won a Grammy.

I agree. You can feel that, if Lara would have sung it like she would have solo, there wouldn't have been much left of Laura in this performance. Pausini has her strengths for sure, but in this performance, compared to Lara... It's a little bit like she is straining and shouting (with a bit of exaggeration of course.), that would have even more come to the surface with a Lara without restraint.
