For all the truly dry skin girls out there, I have very dry skin and live I. A dry climate. the milky toners are great but I also add a couple drops of squalene (from the Ordinary) into my little puddle of toner and mix them together and then put it on. Then I immediately put in a very emollient cream on top to lock it in. Works great!
My skin is so dry! Thank you so much for sharing these tips. I bought the rose toner from the beginning of this routine. I have pretty much everything else so I can do this right. My skin has done a complete 180 . Looks much better for 57 year old skin that spent half it's life in the sun & the other half in tanning beds!!! Wrinkles are set but my skin glows now, smooth , my wrinkles are plumper & more filled in. It all started with you Nikki!! Before 3 years ago, I had given up. I watched one of your videos and you sparked something in me! Now, I'm back to my self-care and beauty rituals! Every single day! Thank you so much for that. Your kindness and bright personality brings me joy. You're the G.O.A.T and you're absolutely beautiful inside and out!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That’s so incredible to hear this Amy! I had no idea your skin was that dry and that my videos had helped that much! This makes my day more than you know, thank you for sharing this backstory with me. I always notice and appreciate your love on my channel ❤️🥹🙏🏼
I appreciate the options ,"if you dont have this ,use this" ur suggestions and insight are unmatched. Thank u ❤🙌🏼 on behalf of the dry dehydrated Parched girlies 😅 .
I have been using both since Nikki mentioned them earlier in the year. Total game changer for my year round Crypt Keeper skin. I've gone thru several bottles of each 😊since starting to use them. D'ALBA has some other phenomenal prods as well. The dual serum / moisturizer in the tub is awesome for bedtime skincare.
I tried the Naturium moisturizer multi peptide (tall tube) and I’m in love. It works so well during the hot days and with all my skin tints and foundation. I haven’t come across the one in this video but I’m hooked on the brand. I’m 38 and my skin is true combo. During the winter I’m on the drier side. I may try their intense overnight cream. I also use the vitamin c serum for the morning routine and love it. AND I cannot complaint about the price! Everything else is usually over $25 and I love that this brand doesn’t break the bank.
That By Terry powder is incredible!! It is definitely not talked about enough, I have oily skin but love it for under the eyes. I feel like it’s even better than the PMG powder, yes it’s expensive but it lasts such a long time IMO.
My fave Nikki uncut yet. My skin does exactly what you described. And even worse in the winter as I’m a flight attendant and the air in the plane and outside is so so dry most places in the winter. I feel like this is a masterclass so Thank You!
I love love your channel. I never had anyone in my life to teach me all these and I’m always looking forward to learn something new from you. You’re so good at what you do.
Nikki did a whole video testing out all of the skin tints-search her video catalog 😊 also she’s done quick makeup for work videos as well ☑️ she’s got you covered! 👍🏼
It’s nice to hear other people have to make such a switch, too! My skin is oily/dehydrated, and the dehydrated part is SO HARD to figure out without having heaviness. I’ve been trying a few K-beauty toners this year to help. I’m going to check out the Naturium peptide moisturizer, too - it looks really lovely!!
For a really pretty pearl sunscreen that is really moisturizing, I much prefer the RMS. It doesn’t need so much working and can also be reapplied on top of makeup later in the day if needed and looks really pretty. I am on my third bottle and I rarely rebuy anything because I am a magpie.
I also love that Haus Pomelo…I have trouble with most blush being too intense and that one really does look just healthy and lit from within. I’m surprised that you left out the Westman Atelier Biscuit and the Nectar and Brûlée Lit Up sticks…those are always in my bag for dry under eye touchups during the day.
I am so glad you talked about the By Terry powder! You talked about that brand a long time ago and I took your recommendation! That powder is absolutely gorgeous and keeps my makeup on all day! Your makeup turned out beautiful today Nikki! You’re always gorgeous though! 💜🩷❤️
Just before i clicked this video i said to myself "we reached dry parched skin weather, let's see the tutorial". And hearing you say something similiar made my day! 😂❤
Such a helpful video! Your brushes are on the way to me, I am so excited. Question: what hydrating skin tint or foundation do you think is the most blurring for mature textured skin? Love you Nikki, thank you!!
Thank you as always Nikki! Your advice is golden! I have very dry skin, and I have been loving the Glow Recipe Watermelon Toner. I find it very hydrating and smoothing for my skin. I wasn't using a toner at all until I saw a previous video of yours when you recommended one for dry skin. Huge difference! Thank you! ❤
Thank you Nikki for doing this for us dry skin peeps! I tried the Tower 28 and it did not work well for me. I have very dry skin and creasing and even with good eye prep it was too dry a finish. I am 52, though, so maybe I would have loved it 10 years ago. Great tip with the ELF liquid bronzer, it looks great. And I think it is time to invest in the by Terry.!
Thank you so much for doing this video Nikki! I find all of your content SO helpful and I've learned so much from you, my makeup application is next level now, all thanks to you! I purchased the Kulfi concealer during the Sephora sale, again, thanks to you, yes I was heavily influenced by you😍, and I am absolutely LOVING it! You're awesome! (for ref. I have combo/dry skin, and it gets drier in the winter months). All I can say is thank you, thank you and keep em coming!! You're truly amazing 🙏🏼😍💗 And PS yes I'd love a video like this with skin tints!
Bought your N14 brush after watching this video and can’t wait to receive it with my Mario powder based on your recommendation too! Thank you for making incredible makeup tutorials and product recommendations!!
What do you think about the Rhode products? I seem to get good moisturizing effects and was wanting to try the new balm- have you tried these products?
Thank you so much for this video and love that’s it uncut! I haven’t watched many of your videos but I already am such a huge fan. You explain things really really well and I truly appreciate it. I can tell I can trust your opinion on products as well. For a SAHM (stay at home mom) that’s trying to get back to taking care of her skin and herself, thank you 🤍
Dry skin girlie here! 💁♀ Thank you for always thinking about us, even though you have a different skin type! Btw Fresh is having a 50% sale so pick up the Rose Deep Hydration serum there! and Love love love that EM cosmetic finishing spray!
Very timely. Dehydration is a beast. Every time the weather gets cooler and the wind picks up my skin dries up. My skin is normal/combination but I need super hydration in the fall through winter.
So grateful for this video, thank you Nikki! Do you have any recommendations for hydrating concealers that I could get in the UK please so I don’t have to pay loads for shipping as I think Kulfi and Tower 28 are more US based? Thanks so much ❤️ xx
I’m 51, dry skin. I liked the Mario powder but I LOVE the Fenty blurring powder. May even like it better than my Givency that I can no longer purchase. I find having dry skin, applying my powder with a damp beauty sponge leaves my skin looking so much better than with a brush. Melts it in and I apply just the right amount on my face.
I would love more dry skin recommendations from you from you! Love your educational tips but a lot of them don't work for me because I'm a 45 dry skin gal.
Ah Nikki, I wish you would have done this during the Sephora sale.... /cries and kicks the sand. That said, I have used By Terry powder for about 8-10 years and the Fresh rose toner for a couple years now too, really good recommendations! Thanks for all you do! 💜💜💜
Nikki, please answer this question: Do I need a different moisturizer for my under eyes? I struggle with concealer settling in my wrinkles and lines. Yes, I use a setting powder lightly and a light concealer application. I’m so frustrated with my aging eyes.
Thank you so much for this video Nikki! I love your content and have dry and dehydrated skin all year round, it's a nightmare sometimes! I'm going to try the Fresh serum - it sounds amazing!
What eyeshadow are you wearing, gorgeous! How do you compare these 2 powders with givenchy prisme libre? I am fair cool neutral just under ligght medium and snagged shades 1 and 2 og formula 😎 I wear creme seint makeup! It's absolutely amazing makeup 💄 would love your input. I am dry but not overly dry.
You’re so talented! Always appreciate the effort you put into all your videos, and your recommendations are always spot on ! (Everytime I followed anything you recommended it worked so well for me) AMAZING thanks for sharing with us all
Would you choose the by terry over the Mario? I have combination skin and lean more oily but my under eyes are dry parched. I can never find a powder that doesn’t dry me out
Hi @Makeup by Nikki La Rose can you explain why you used the bigger brush this time for the foundation? Is it because of the thicker products underneath? Thank you so much ❤ Michele
I love your advice and really do agree with you almost always. Thanks so much. Just wondering if you have ever tried the Il Makiage foundation, I have found it very good. I also like the Maybelline 24 hour with vit C. Really good for the winter.
Hey, Nikki I stopped wearing foundation in my mid 40s, and I stopped because it aged me, I'm 54 now but I do miss a foundation's. Can you tell me what the best foundation for someone by age would be? Not a matte, a dewy/radiant one Thanks x

Yes to skin tints please! What do you recommend when you still have dry texture after moisturizing? I can’t find a primer that helps disguise the texture
If you are not a roses scent fan, is there an alternative to this essence? I tried Naturium and they didn't seem very moisturizing for my dry mature skin. Hmmm.

Yep! Great tip it’s great for everywhere lol lips too
I do the same! Great advice.
@@pappyone6062 Squalene is a god send for dry skin. Even for my oily but dehydrated skin.
Try Origins squalene
Plant based . I hope.😊
Yes please! Do a video for dry skin with skin tints
SAEI skin tint is very good for a dry parched skin in winter
You are the Bob Ross of makeup artistry 🖤 …tap tap tap…
I love that! You’re so right…..Nikki is the queen of makeup technique! 💜
I now only tap tap tap when applying makeup, it's changed things completely!
A skin tint video would be greatly appreciated! Thank you Nikki!❤
Just yesterday I thought to myself, I hope Nikki does and updated dry skin video. It's like you're a mind reader. Thank you ❤
As someone with year long dry skin and who lives in northern Minnesota, where the high is 43 today, this is wonderful. Thank you!
Same! It’s already so dry and da k up here.
My skin is so dry! Thank you so much for sharing these tips. I bought the rose toner from the beginning of this routine. I have pretty much everything else so I can do this right. I appreciate the options ,"if you dont have this ,use this" ur suggestions and insight are unmatched. Thank u ❤🙌🏼 on behalf of the dry dehydrated Parched girlies 😅 .
I LOVE the Fenty milky fat water toner and LOVE my D’Alba products.
Ahhh !! So so good!!

Nikki, could you do a video on how you care for your brushes? How you clean them? How often, etc? Thank you!!!
It's like you knew my soul needed this video. I use the Fresh Rose and Squalane Hydration and I'm obsessed.

@alicenicolai2323 she had mentioned in the video to comment if we'd like to see this routine with skin tint instead.
This was great! Love your uncuts always. That mosquito just wouldn’t go away. 😊 thank you!! 💜
Haha! That mosquito was persistent! Glad you liked the routine, thank you for watching! 💖

Thank you for turning me on to the d’alba first spray serum! I have combo skin and this serum is a great first step for me after toner!
I loved this video. Thank you! What eyeshadow are you wearing?
I would love more dry skin recommendations from you from you! Love your educational tips but a lot of them don't work for me because I'm a 45 dry skin gal.

The best mornings for me is when I can sit by my vanity and do my hair and makeup and be accompanied by a new Nikki video ❤🥹🙏🏾
Hi! What is your advice for dry flaky patches on the skin. I feel some makeup just makes it look worse. Thanks! ❤
I received my mirrors last week and they are so beautiful! I’m so happy I ordered before they sold out. I should’ve purchased two more.❤❤❤❤
Love the I’m from rice milky toner and the haru haru sunscreen. I have super dry skin and they work amazing.
i have dry skin, thank you so much nikki!! ❤
Yes please ! Share skin tints for dryer seasons ! Thanks so much !
this video literally came in the perfect moment in my life, love you
what do you think about the too faced bronzer stick ?
You’re so talented! Always appreciate the effort you put into all your videos, and your recommendations are always spot on ! (Everytime I followed anything you recommended it worked so well for me) AMAZING thanks for sharing with us all

Hey, Nikki
I stopped wearing foundation in my mid 40s, and I stopped because it aged me, I'm 54 now but I do miss a
foundation's. Can you tell me what the best foundation for someone by age would be?
Not a matte, a dewy/radiant one
Thanks x
I can’t wait to try that rise toner 🌹🌹🌹 love the cute top you are wearing 😍 was hoping you would link it?!🙏🏼🤎
Hi Alice-- I looked for the toner on the Fresh website. It's actually considered a "serum" there.
@ 🙏🏼🌹
Im pretty sure the top is a free people top. I tried to link it but wouldn’t let me.
What eyeshadow did you use Nikki? (I know, out of topic, but I love it)
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much Nikki! Truly helpful, I’m going to try out the rose essence. I’m hoping that works, I’ve been using the Byoma milky toner and I feel like I need some extra hydration 😊
My dry skin needed this 😭😭
I literally just ran out of all my base products so this is PERFECT!!
Sorry if this has been mentioned…the ByTerry powder may not work for those with dry skin who also live in dry climates. Because it contains hyaluronic acid, it needs to draw moisture from somewhere - and if your environment is dry (like mine is) it will draw the moisture from your skin instead. This is the case for me, and it totally dried out my undereyes any time I used it. 😢. I know lots of ladies who love it, but it’s something to be aware of for each person’s particular skin type and environment.
I live in Arizona/dry climate, do you have any dry desert skin recs? Or is the rule of thumb just to avoid hyaluronic acid?
@ I’m no expert(!), but it’s been just powders with humectants (aka hyaluronic acid) that have been problematic for me. In relation to skincare, I recommend if using HA in a dry climate, to combine and/or follow with a moisturizer. That way the HA draws its moisture from the moisturizer instead of from your skin. Lots of moisturizers now do contain HA, which is a great combination for efficacy and super easy to find in all price ranges. In my experience, it’s only the powders with HA that dry me out terribly! 😊
The video I needed. Thanks Nikki ❤
Yes I would love to know the best skin tints for dry skin
But she has oily skin Maybe she. Could share some advice from her older clients it’s all about skin care
Yes, Please! Skin Tints part as well❤
Givenchy or Mario loose powder is better for dry skin? Thanks
About Fresh oil serum I agree 100% . It's my holy grail product and it lasts for such a long time so it's a great buy
This is such a pretty look!
Thank you so much!!!
Having dry dehydrated skin, I really appreciate this video. I will be buying the By Terry powder. I believe that Dermstore sell it.
Yes to the skin tint video😊
I would looovee to see you do a winter season makeup look. 🖤
Do you recommend any primers for the dry seasons?
I love the Naked Sundays Collagen Glow sunscreen for my 50 yr old permanently dry skin. It is my everyday go to under my makeup. I do my morning skincare, go get a cup of coffee, take the dogs out, get dressed or fix my hair and then start my makeup so that my sunscreen gets 15-20 min to soak in. Do I accomplish that timeline everyday...no way, but it is what I do my best to accomplish so my sunscreen gets a minimum of 10 min dry down lol.
I’m such a fan of all of the naked Sundays formulas! They are so good under makeup !
Yes to skin tints please! What do you recommend when you still have dry texture after moisturizing? I can’t find a primer that helps disguise the texture
Yes please to a skin tint video!!
Hi Nikki, thank you, I’ve learned so much from you🥰 I put my morning toners/serums in a fine mist bottle and spray directly on face. ❤
Nikki look so good all the time❤I’m so jelly lol
If you are not a roses scent fan, is there an alternative to this essence? I tried Naturium and they didn't seem very moisturizing for my dry mature skin. Hmmm.
She has suggested the Fenty Fat Water Milky toner in the past….
@@kimberlyklug8191 : Thanks
Ive ordered Vieve in 210. Waiting on it to come in. Excited
I just love to hear you say the word something it’s so cute how you say that word 😊😊😊😊
Yay, I'm here for this video!! 🙌 ❤
